It's gone and I want it back!

I haven't been able to create anything for 5 or 6 days. I finished the "skate" card Saturday and then nothing. I worked for 3 days on a card with peacock feathers and then threw it away. My mind just draws a blank. Lots of small things seem to get in the way and then I'm just so tired I can't put two thoughts together. Maybe if I could get a really good nights sleep. And OMGosh I want chocolate! Enough of this rambling pity party.
I think I've got some Nutella. All I need is my sister and a spoon. She can always free my mind.
Yep, that's it. All we need is Nutella, a spoon and then a glass of wine. Feeling better already.
Hope everyone is having a great evening. Tomorrow's going to be better. I know it.
Good night and God bless.

Grandson will be 10

My second grandson will be 10 next month. He loves to ride his bike and his skateboard. He is always setting up ramps and jumping something. So when I saw the Dude lite cart I knew I had to have it. I love the way this card came out. I hope he likes it. Let me know what you think.

I would also like to know if anyone with this cart had trouble putting the cuts together. It took me the longest time to figure out how the cuts layered. Maybe it's just me. Anyway here's the card.

God bless.

Envelope please ... and the winner is ... Glenda! Congrats Glenda. If you will email me at with your address info, I'll get this right out to you. Hope you like it and find it useful.
I would like to thank everyone for playing along and becoming a follower. I feel all alone in my obsession because no one close to me has the same obsession as me. But with my followers and the wonderful blogs I get to visit because of my followers, I have a whole new world full of friends with my passion. I didn't really get the "blog thing" at first, but it really is like a family. I just wish I knew more about what to do to make a better blog. I only know how to post. That's it.
Here's to learning!
Now I want to invite everyone to visit Glenda's Cards. She has some beautiful projects. I just love all this sharing, don't you?
God bless you all and I hope your day is wonderful. I plan to do this again when I get close to 150. (if it doesn't take too long) Maybe I'll do it again when I get 10,000 hits. Hmmmm

B-day card for a dear friend

Hi, everyone, hope you are having a great Monday. I haven't posted in several days because I don't know how to keep a post on top while posting other things. I only need 3 more followers to get to 100 and then I can draw a winner. So hope some of you will play along.

This card is for a friend who grew up on the coast and loves lighthouses and cattails. I think it's sort of serene and comforting. She's had a rough couple of months. I hope she likes it.

I hope you all have a wonderful and inspiring week. God bless. Stephanie

Situation resolved

I sent it back today. For me it just didn't live up to the hype. I think it was released too soon. The "I" carts do not layer well, in my opinion. An you can't change the color and/or pattern on all the layers on the I carts. If there is any shading or details, it gets covered up by the changes and you loose it. While I had it I wasted so much paper. You can't position where it will cut. It always starts in the upper left corner. I know it is supposed to work with the Gypsy and then you will be able to position your cuts. So why was it released before it is even able to work with the gypsy? I just thought $500.00 was a lot to pay for something that may or may not be made more usable in the future. If it's perfected, I may buy one in the future. For now I'd rather spend money on new carts for the E. We know how we love layering with them. I did make a couple of cuts to layer, wasn't impressed. As for the mats, I think this "improvement" wasn't so good. My mat was terrible. I tried the hot water and scraping the mat, but it didn't work. I'm feeling much better since I sent it back.

Imagine situation

Well I finally took it out of the box.Took about 2 hrs to calibrate everything. I'm sorry, but I need more instructions. I mean step by step with pictures. Not little vague references to things. The manuel should explain every word and symbol on every screen. The words at the bottom of the screen I can't even read. It took an hour to find how to size an image. It wasn't until I went to the message board and watched a video about printing a sentiment on the card and she showed where she resized it. I found it on my screen, but I wouldn't have known what it was if not for that video. I'm just not very happy with this thing right now. I don't like the new mats. The paper doesn't stick worth a darn and if you look at an angle, there's spots that look like there is no glue.
I'm still trying to figure things out. Some parts of the images you probably shouldn't change colors. One had several flowers that were different colors and when I edited the color it changed into one solid blob. I can't figure out how to cut each layer separate. I'm going to look for a tutorial . I would like to get something out of all this time. PC I really need real instructions. I didn't pay $500. for this terrible headache. Good night everyone. Hope yours hasn't been as stressful as mine.

Stop the presses!!! Urgent

I was sitting at my computer reading email at 2:40 PM when this sound caught my attention. I'm sure you have all heard it before. It is very unique. The UPS truck!!!! My Imagine has come. So I took a picture while it was still on the porch. Big box! Hard to pick up by myself (I'm short) but I got it in and on my dining table. As I write this I haven't opened it yet. I've never struggled like this with a purchase before. I just keep thinking-$500 and you still need the E too. Then there's the price of ink. When we bought our last printer we got away from HP because of the ink cost. The one I have now, you change only the color that is empty. I guess I better go open it. I still don't know what to do. I guess I'll try it out. To be continued...

Lyrical Letters B-day card

Good afternoon. I hope everyone is having a peaceful Sunday. I learned how to post and upload pics to the new MB. I thought I was going to be left behind. Everytime I get used to some format and feel comfy using it, It changes. It's hard for my brain to switch gears. For a while I was using my Gypsy, then it was just easier to use DS since my E is hooked up to it and it's all right there on the computer. I don't even have to get up. I can design and turn in my chair to the right and cut. Now I've got to get my brain wrapped around the G again, since the Imagine is coming tomorrow. I think I need some "push-ups" for my brain.

Anyway today I made a b-day card for a cousin who will be very surprised. We haven't sent b-day cards since we were kids. I used Lyridal Letters for the whole thing. tfl

Grand nephew's 4th b-day card

I have a niece who just found out she is going to have a girl. Her little boy has a birthday next month and will be 4. He loves spiderman, and after trying to figure out the Batman cuts, I'm glad there isn't a Spiderman cart. So I used Mini Monsters and cut the pirate out. It came out pretty cute. Thanks for looking.

Hope everyone has settled down from the launch and Hello Thursday. I can't wait to get Nifty Fifties. Anyway here's the card.

God Bless and have a great weekend.

Good mornig

I hope everyone has recovered from the Imagine launch. I did not plan to order, I thought it cost too much. I'm very happy with my "E". But I still watched the launch. The machine fascinates me. I never even told my hubby about the new machine when it was announced this summer. I really had no intention of buying one. He saw it on HSN on Tuesday and kind of turned up his nose and said "Oh boy another new one, expensive." I told him I thought so too. Might be nice to have someday, but I was happy with what I had. A few minutes later he came back and said if you want one you should get it. I still did not order. I started reading all the info on the Imagine. (again) It was very hard to decide to order. ($500.00 is about 15 new carts, I always think in terms of carts I could buy) Anyway after about 2 hours I finally ordered (the 2 extra carts helped).
Yesterday , I kept thinking maybe I shouldn't have done it. (ink is another expense) What if I can't figure it out? What if I hate it? I really love my DS, use it for everything. To me it's easier that the Gypsy. Now I've got to get proficient with the "G". I even tried to cancel my order, but it was already processing. I never had anything process that quickly before. Anyway, today I got an email that it had shipped. I sure hope it's as easy to learn as they said or I'm up a creek without a paddle. Wish me luck.
God Bless everyone (me, too! I think I'm going to need it)
I can't wait to see what comes out today for Hello Thursday.

Feel good card

A very good friend's sister needs another operation, but is too weak. I'm going to try to send her a card a week to try to lift her spirits. I'm also sending her prayers. Hope this helps.

2 new cards

Good morning everyone. Were you up late last night watching the launch? I actually fell asleep in my rocker (almost always happens when I sit in my rocker in the evening). But I woke up just as it came on. YEA!!! More about the Imagine later. I actually made 2 cards yesterday, one for a niece's b-day and one for an aunt who had a medical scare and had to have a bunch of tests.

Hope you like. Appreciate any feedback.

It"s Here!

Well, it's a little after 7:00 AM and I thought I would post what My grandson had me making last night. (for hours) He wanted the 3D Batman and Joker. You can't make these "quickly." There's no instructions and the pictures are so small. You can't see the details. I had leftover pieces for the jokers outfit that I threw away. Just could not figure out what to do with the tiny things. Anyway here's a picture of them with the cake topper. TFL Will post more of the decorations later.

On this sad day I'm glad to have this party to do. It's hard to believe what really happened on this day 9 years ago.

God Bless everyone.

It's almost here!

I'm talking about my grandsons birthday party. It's tomorrow. I kind of waited till the last minute to do the decorations because I was hoping the Batman cart would come. It didn't, at least not until I had the goody bags decorated and the banner made. So I used Mini Monsters for most of it and then it came. So I decided to use the monster on the cake and the Batman cake topper. They came out pretty cute. I'll post a pic of the cake toppers now, and then tomorrow I'll take all the rest of it. At least it will be colorful.

Birthday card for niece

Hope everyone had a great morning. I made a poster for my grandson's birthday party Sat. Now I just have to decide what else I'm going to do. Sunday I got 2 cards made. This is the second one. It's for a niece who's turning 25 next month. I used Forever Young, Beyond Birthdays, and George for this one. A little inking, a little bling and it's done. TFL

I won!!

Good morning, everyone. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday.
Yesterday afternoon when I went to check my email I had a special message. I won the blog candy Melissa, at MelissaMade, was offering. I'm so excited. It's got beautiful papers, ribbon, sticker bling, 4 copic markers to try and a gift certificate to Tiddly Inks. I have never used copics before or digital stamps. So this will be my maiden voyage into these two realms. I can't wait to try both things but I'm also a little nervous. So I guess I'll have to pull up my "big girl" pants and go for it. Anyway I can't wait to try it all. So thanks again Melissa.
You really should check out her blog, She does really beautiful work and she also posts on the message board. She loves the company. (and so do I)
God bless and have a safe weekend.
I've got to finish up the party stuff for my grandson and October's b-days so I can play with my new goodies.
Hugs to everyone!

Just a note

Good morning, everyone! So far so good here. Hope none of you are on the east coast in harm's way. This card is for a dear family friend's sister. She's had 2 very big surgeries and was in ICU for 2 weeks. Now she is home, but has a very long recuperation ahead of her. I just wanted her to know we were thinking of her. This was done with Wild Card, always a great one to fall back on. Hope everyone has a safe and relaxing holiday. I'm still working on things for my grandson's b-day. With his PawPaw working all weekend, I should get it all done. I think it's going to be cute.

Hi everyone. Thought I would say a few things about adhesives. I just started using the message board a few months ago. (Even though I was a member for a year before.) I didn't really understand how it worked. Anyway, when I did start reading the MB, I heard a lot about ATG 714. So I started researching it. No one around me carried it, it had to be ordered online. I really don't like to do that, I like to walk in a store and put my hands on things. I also did not like the price. I have been on the fence for months. Well, Custom Crops offered a pink ATG with 2 rolls of tape for $30.00, preorder. I still did not jump on it. I just kept watching it and reading what others had to say about it. Then My Pink Stamper made a video about the differences of the original and the new pink one. There aren't many. This is what interested me.

1. price, a lot cheaper

2. seems to weigh a little less

3. MPS also said it seemed to work a lot smoother

4. It's a lot prettier

5. Can get the tape really cheap

I have the Glue Glider Pro. It's OK. But the glue is expensive. With the new pink ATG I can order twice as many glue rolls for half as much money as the Glue Glider. I've had the new Atg for about 2 weeks and so far I like it a lot.

I also use Zig 2-way glue for small things, as well as Scotch Quick-Dry adhesive and a small glue runner. Yesterday I picked up the Quik-stik. That should come in handy for really tiny pieces.

I just thought someone might be interested in some adhesives. Hope this helps someone.

God Bless. I'm still working on my grandson's birthday stuff.
