This is a very special post

This wonderful lady, Glenda at http://glendascards.blogspot.com/, gave me an award last month and I missed it. You should visit her blog. She does some of the most beautiful cards. She makes me see cuts in a whole new way. It's really worth your time to take a look.
The rules are to send this award to 3 special artists. It's hard to just pick 3.
Here goes- Theresa at http://miislucky.blogspot.com/ (she has a blog with her sister) , Peggy at http://dailygracecreations.blogspot.com/, and Tanya at http://nonnascraftcorner.blogspot.com/. Visit all of these great ladies and you will come away with lots of inspiration. Thank you again Glenda.

Good morning all! (my second try to post today)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can hardly ever post with one try.
Ok now to business. I did another challenge. This one was a sketch challenge, a RAQ challenge.

This is my take on sketch1. I used Savory  Lite for the teapot, Billionaire Lite forthe "hi" and Forever Young for the flowers. I think it turned out pretty cute. Hope you like it, too.
Thanks for looking and God Bless you all. Hugs, Stephanie

Good morning!

Hope everyone is doing great today. My grandson is having Kindergarten Roundup this morning. It kind of makes me sad, he's growing up so fast. But the bright spot is the fact that he won't have to leave in the middle of the day to go to school for 3 hours. I will be able to get back into a routine next year. He will go at 8 and I will get errands, cooking and some crafting in before he comes home at 3. That's the plan anyway.
OK back to business. I have a challenge card for you today. I just realized, there is NO CRICUT on this one. Just MS punches. I'm in shock!  This challenge is for My Craft Spot and I think it's their first one. How cool is that? The only rule was to mak something and tie a bow. So here it is. Hope you like it.
Thanks for looking and God Bless you all.  Hugs, Stephanie

Good afternoon-2nd Anniversary card

Remember I told you I had 2 more ideas for anniversary cards. Last night I combined them to make one really cute card. (at least I think so) Instead of going to bed I designed this one on my gypsy. It really is getting easier to use. I'm learning to use all the buttons without a lot of trouble. YEA!!! I'm actually starting to enjoy this "gadget". Looks like this 60 year old brain can still learn. lol
OK, enough of this. I used Billionaire for "years", Chore Chart for little notes on the inside, Designer's Calendar for the notes on the envie, Don Juan for 41 and the hearts,  and  Lyrical Letters for the notes on the front. I forgot to write down the sizes. I need to work on that when I use the gypsy. I decorated the envie, too. This is the card I will send to work with him. Now I just have to wait a week, April 4th.
Thanks so much for looking. I really appreciat your comments.God Bless you all.

Hugs, Stephanie

Good morning, third time

This is the third time for this post. Every time I try to post pics, my internet stops working. So I'm trying again.
I have an anniversary coming upon April 4th. It will be 41 years. I made a card last night and before I finished up for the night, I had ideas for 2 more. So I'm going to make all three. This is the first one. Hopefully I'll get a chance to make the other 2 tonight.
I had all the instructions written doen but I can't find them. (hate when that happens) Here's the cartsI used.
Tie the Knot - B
Storybook - R, S, 41 and top note
Billionaire - yrs
A MS punch abd some glitter.

Thanks so much for looking and your comments. I truly love comments. God Bless you all. Stephanie

Good evening!

I had a pretty good day. This morning I got a chance to go to the 3 craft stores that are about 40 min. from my house. I bought some recollections  paper packs for 3/$10.00 and several $1.00 ink pads. At JoAnn's I found Kate's ABC's. I was so excited. I still don't have Nate's ABC's but I will. I also received Disney Classics in the mail today. So, of course, I couldn't wait to create something. Kate's is such a cute cart.
I decided to make a "happy spring" card. All the paper used was scraps.(that always makes me happy)
Hope you like it. Here's the recipe.
Kate" ABC's - bird cut and all it's layers-1 1/2", flower on inside-5 1/4"
Give a Hoot - tree-4 3/4"
MS Seasonal - Happy Spring-1 1/4"
Storybook - label-3 1/4"

Thanks for looking and God Bless youo all. Stephanie

Good afternoon! Third times the charm!

This is my third time ti try this post. It always messes up when I try to add the pics. So here goes.
I entered another challenge. This time at Bitten by the Bug2. We were to use the Paisley cartridge and the Dog1 cut. This was really fun. It makes me use carts I have not used in a long time and new cuts.
Here's the recipe. I hope you like it.
The dog and all layers were cut at 2",umbrella cut at 2 1/2", fabulous cut at 1",small button at 1" and large button on insde at 2".

Thanks for looking and God Bless you all. Stephanie

Hope all is well!

It's a great Thursday morning in southeast Texas. Just wish I wasn't already tired. We have a ball game to go to at 7:00 tonight. These later games can really get you. Maybe a nap is in order today. (I wish) Anyway onto business.
I created a card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. The theme was Happy Birthday. I'm also excited because I did it with my Gypsy. It's really very simple and I only used one cartridge but I had an easier time doing it this time. Maybe I will get proficient with "her". So here it is.

I used Hoot n Holler for all the cuts, but I forgot to write down the sizes.  I mainly just made sure they would fit on an A2 card base. (next time I will try to write things down)I embossed the background with my Cuttlebug and the sentiment is computer generated. (courtesy of me)
Thanks so much for looking and have a great day. God Bless you all. Stephanie

Good morning!

Believe it or not, I'm posting again today! I was reading one of my favorite blogs this morning, Theresa at Scrapper 69, and was reminded of a challenge at Cricut Cardz. You are to use any cartridge and only green, pink and white. It sounded like fun. So I thought if I could think up something fast and quickly get it done then I could play along.
So I did! It took me about 30 minutes. I'm so excited.
The card base is A2 and I used Wall Decor and More. The dish and cutlery were cut at 2 1/2". The butterfly is a punch with white tiny pearls and the sentiment is computer generated courtesy of my mind. Add a small green bow and small green rhinestones and it's done.
Thanks so much for looking. God Bless you all. Stephanie

Good morning!!!

I think I'm back. My computer seems to be working again. I've got my fingers crossed.
So I'm going to try posting this card for the 3rd time. This one is for another sister with an anniversary this month. Since she is not in the habit of reading my blog, I think it's safe to post . This one was fun to make also.
DCWV is usually my go to paper, but when I saw this stack, I fell in love with it. This is K&Company and I love the pink and geen.
Here's the recipe:
Create a Critter - large frogs-2", lilypads (on front) 1 1/2", boy crown (blue gem) 2", large lilypad (inside) 2 1/2"
Once Upon a Princess - girl crown -3/4"
Life's a Beach - castle -2 1/2"
George - 2 hearts -3 1/2"
Paper Doll Dress Up - Little frogs-1 1/2" and 2"
I fussy cut a couple of flowers and lilypads from the paper, added a couple of gems, some stickles and the sentiment is from my very own thought processes. Thats it! Hope you like it.

Thanks for looking and God Bless you all. Stephanie

Hello, everyone

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine would have been better if my computer wasn't "sick". I can check my emails on my hubby's laptop, but that's about it. I have a card all ready to post (that's what I was doing when everything went haywire). Another sister has an anniversary this weekend so hopefully I will be able to post it this week. It was another fun card and I really had fun making it.
Of course the silver lining may be that I HAVE to design on my Gypsy instead of always using Design Studio. I really mean to use "G" more but it's just so easy to use DS on the big computer screen. We'll see how it goes. I really hate having a gadget that I can't use well.
That's all for now. Can't post any pictures because there aren't any on his laptop. So close your eyes and imagine a pretty spring scene. Go ahead you can do it.
Thanks for stopping by. God Bless you all. Stephanie

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

And a happy anniversary to my sister and brother-in-law! Now I can post their card. Yippee! This was a fun card to make. I love shamrocks. (pink and green are my favorite colors) She said they liked it, I hope they did. My hubby couldn't believe I made this one without any chickens or goats. haha
Here's the recipe:
Celebrate with Flourish - shamrocks 4"
Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes - Happy Anniversary 1 3/4"
Simply Charmed - pot of gold 3"

Hope you like it too. Have a glorious day and thanks for looking. God Bless you all. Stephanie

Good morning.

This is my second try to post this. We are taking a 2 week hiatus from working at my mom's house. We have to wait for probate anyway. We really need this break. Everyone is worn out, physically and mentally. I hope to get back to creating soon. Tomorrow I have a card to post for one of my sister's anniversary. The other sister with an anniversary this month will have hers posted at the end of the month. It's designed but not cut yet.
I tried to post a pic of my grandson and my mom but blogger is not cooperating.
Thank you all for looking and God Bless you all. Stephanie

Good evening

Well, I was so excited because I finished another card for this month. Then I remembered I can't post it because my sister might see it. I think it turned out really cute but I have to wait til St. Patrick's Day to post it. So my grandson has me making things from Best of Pixar. First up is Eve, the girl robot from Wall E. This one went together very easy.
So here's Eve. I cut her at 4".
Thanks for looking and God Bless you all. Stephanie

Happy Tuesday

Finally a card!
I just finished a card for my great-granddaughter's 2nd birthday. Hers is the first card I need to make this month. I used Paper Lace and Cupcake Lite. It's pretty simple but at least I got it done.
Feels good to be back with my cricut.
Thanks for looking and may God Bless you all. Stephanie

Good evening!

Hope everyone has had a great Monday. I had some errands to take care of that brought me in the vivinity of Michaels. Woo Hoo! I finally got to go to Michaels. It was nice to do something normal "just because." I bought 2 cartridges, Pack Your Bags and Groovy Times. I also received Simply Charmed in the mail today. I have resisted getting that cartridge for so long but I finally caved. So many of you are still posting such cute projects with it. So now I can't wait to use it. Tomorrow I may get to make a card. I need to make several for this month.
This week is spring break in southeast Texas. My grandson is enjoying staying home with me. He never complained one time when I dragged him to "M's."
I hope to have a card to post for tomorrow. Thanks for looking and God Bless you all. Stephanie

Western day

Yesterday my grandson's preschool had western day. I told him when I was a child we played cowboys and indians and cops and robbers. He didn't know what that was.Today's kids play spiderman, batman and power rangers. Anyway he was so excited. He got to wear his boots and cowboy hat. When I was in 7th grade I wore a cute bolo tie for western day. (48 years ago) He wore the same bolo. So here's a couple of pics.

Now I have to get the Old West cartridge. Thanks for looking and God Bless you all. Stephanie

Good morning and good last evening!

Crazy title? You bet. You see this is the third time I've tried to post this. Blogger just wouldn't cooperate. Third times the charm, right? Here goes.
We've been finishing "thank yous" from mom's funeral. So many wonderful people sent food and flowers but there are always a few that need a handmade card. I designed two different cards. They are both very simple and I think kind of elegant.

I used Paper Lace for the "thank you" and two cuttlebug folders for the embossing. The inside is matted white cardstock for a handwritten message.
Thanks for all your concern and sweet thoughts and for looking. May God Bless you all. Stephanie
Looks like it worked. Have a great afternoon.

Good morning everyone

Thanks so much for all you prayers. My last post was the morning of Feb. 21st. Sunday, the 20th, we moved mom to a hospice. She died the night of the 21st. She had such a hard time the 3 weeks she was hospitalized that it was a blessing for her. She has wanted this for the last 5 1/2 years since my dad died. We're just glad she is at peace. Things will have to be a little different from now on. We won't be able to go back "home" for holidays but the 5 of us will stick together and create new ways to celebrate. It will work out, just be very different. So thanks very much for all your concern.
On a lighter note, we have found some wonderful old pictures and cards etc . Some we had never seen. My mom was a keeper of "things".  She hung onto everything. She even had a card I made 1974 or 75, quite possibly the very first one. I had my first 2 boys at that time, that's how I can figure a date. My sisters thought I should post my beginning card. There's quite a bit of difference between then and now. I was in my mid twenties then. Never thought anyone else would ever see this card, but here it is. I only had notebook paper and a few markers. Very simple. I think I have improved a little.

Thank you so much for looking. I plan to post often from now on. Hopefully things will settle down a little and I won't have to be away from the house so much. God Bless you all and I hope your day is wonderful. Stephanie
