Happy Friday

So glad it's Friday. It's been a long week.
Today I made plans to go to my sister's house and start going through mom's pictures. No one would believe how many there are. We got through 2 small boxes and we have 2 very large boxes (3'tall x 18"wide x 18"deep)
Do you realize how many pictures can fit in those boxes? It's going to take a while to say the least.
We really loved seeing all the old family stuff. I can't wait to scrap all those sepia and black and whites. We also have multiples of so many.
Any way the reason for this post. This morning while we were getting ready for school I decided to make an Easter basket for my sister using TBBM2. I was so proud that I got it finished. It usually takes me much longer.
I cut it at 5" out of DCWV zebra print cardstock and decorated it with hot pink flowers. I used a MS flower punch and a 1/4 flower punch. I added stickles to all the centers.  I think I'll cut bigger ones to use for the kids for Easter. This size would be cute to put around the house with treats in them.

Thanks for visiting. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie
Sorry for the blurriness. Pictures were taken in a hurry.

Happy Wednesday

My day has gotten better as time goes by. I think it may be because I did something new with my E2 today and didn't have any trouble.
Earlier this week I posted a birthday card for a family friend and I'm fixing to repost the front of it. No, I haven't lost my mind. There is a method to my madness.
My husband has a friend who makes hand made things like knives and money clips. The knives are beautiful and not inexpensive. (of course my hubby has some ordered) The money clips are made of elephant hide and have strong magnets and are laced together. Really a wonderful gift. OK, onto the post.
Enter the new TBBM2 cricut cart. (love it) I made a pillow box for the clip.
TBBM2 - pillowbox cut at 5.61 x 7.23, Happy Birthday written with the E2 at 1.98 (my first time) using the Chomas mini pen holder
Holiday Cakes - elephant cut at 1.28
The reason I am showing the card again - I added the elephant to the front of the card to match the box.
Labels are scalloped rectangle nesties.
Thanks so much for visiting. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Hello Tuesday

Hope it's a great day wherever you are. Another spring day here...high 84. We aren't having much of a breeze so it actually is getting quite hot already. Hate to see these temps so early. No telling how bad it will be this summer. OK, back to business.
I have another card for you today...I know, shock!  This one actually works for a few challenges. (which I love)
Exploring Cricut challenge - Spring and use any or all of these colors, pink, green, yellow, purple, blue and/or white (I used them all)
FCCB #104 - gentle animals - I used a puppy
Link up party with Sarah Hamer at Pink Cricut
Nate's ABC's - wheelbarrow with the puppy cut at 2.81 with all layers
Pooh and Friends - grass cut at .81
Cupcake Wrapper - Spring cut at 4.10
MS double sided butterfly punch, MS single small butterfly punch and 1/4" flower punch.  Silver beads in the flowers, inked edges, glitter and a stamped sentiment finish it off.

Easter window card

Good morning! Hope your day is beautiful. This is our 3rd beautiful day in a row. Temperature is already climbing pretty high. The temp in the house has been reaching 80 in the day and I have to run the AC more. Hate to see what our bill will be in the middle of summer. Oh well, I digress. I have a new card to post.
I made this Easter window card for Sheila's, She's a Sassy Lady, linky this week. You were to make an Easter card with a window welded on your Gypsy. (her gypsy made simple video) Such fun. So glad I finally learned to use my "G". I bought mine at launch and only used it for cart storage. Then last May I bought the E2 and made myself learn to use it. I hated not being able to control where on the page you could cut.
Anyway, here's the card recipe:
Baby Shower - card feature cut at 3.74
Easter 2010 - bunny cut at 1.47
George - oval for window cut at 3.0
Jubilee - banner cut at 1.35
MS Seasonal cake - grass cut at .76
Added some punches flowers and green bling and  inside patterned paper cut with a nesties die on my Cuttlebug. Finished with a sheer ribbon bow and clear stamp sentiment.
She's a Sassy Lady - Easter window card made on Gypsy -Weekly Linky
Stuck on You Sketches - use a bunny
So thanks so much for the visit. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Birthday - Lee

Hi, all. It's been a very busy week, a little crafting but not so much posting. Hubby had tests and an ultrasound for stomach results yet. And yesterday I fell. What fun.
Anyway today I'm posting.
A dear family friend is having a birthday next month. He's had a hard year with cancer treatments. Right now he's doing well. He will be 84. I did not want a "sappy" sentimental card. I wanted it to be a fun card.
I used the Just a Note cartridge loaded on the E2. I haven't used this cart much because it couldn't work with my gypsy. the E2 and the Gypsy work together. Yippee!!!
I used the card feature  Celebrate for this one. The card and all it's layers are cut at 5.05. All the paper is DCWV Celebration stack. The embellishments are from the paper stack and a couple of nesties for the labels.I hope he likes it and lifts his spirits. Now to think of a gift for an 84 year old man.

Thanks for visiting. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Spring and scallops

Good morning all. Hope you are all well. I'm waiting on some really bad weather that may be here by noon. We could get 2 to 4" of rain. We really don't need it anymore. Just hoping there isn't any flooding. OK now onto the reason for this post.
Yesterday I was playing around with a MS all over the page punch. I bought it months ago and never used it. If you can believe that. lol
Later I was reading emails and saw that The Craft Spot had a new challenge, #49, Spring and scallops. This particular punch had scalloped circle leftovers. Perfect for this challenge, right?
So I put them together to make a caterpillar with a Peachy Keen face stamp. The word Spring is from Stretch Your Imagination cut at 1.71. A MS punch around the page set made the label for the word Spring, some doodling, inking and a yellow butterfly button make up the front of this card.
Caterpillars make cocoons which turn into butterflies. What could be more spring than that?
On the inside I used a butterfly from Home Decor cut at 1.59 and the star with the tail was cut at 2.41. I cut those apart to use them. Added glitter. a sentiment stamp, MS flower punch and buttons.

Thanks so much for visiting. Love reading your comments. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Thinking of You/Happy Easter

Good day all. Hope you are all having a great Monday. So far, so good here.
I have a card for you today. My mother's cousin lost her husband a few months after after my mom died. She and my mom were very close and stayed in touch by phone. They lived only 2 hours apart but neither could travel.
I am not a phone person so I send her cards once in a while. So this is for her.
I only have one cricut cut on this one.(odd for me) The spiral flower is from Flower Shoppe cut at 3".
Then I used an assortment of punches and dies in my Cuttlebug. I have never used so many punches on a card.  I've had some of these punches for years and "never" used them. I worked on this card 3 different days. I kept adding little touches. Lots of stickles too.

Thanks so much for the visit. Love to read your comments. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie
I've decided to enter a challenge, 103, at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. You have to use 3 flowers, I think this qualifies. (Flower Shoppe)

A Guy Box

Happy Saturday! It's really not a bad day, very warm.
But last night on the MB I learned how to use TBBM 2 with the Gypsy and cut it on my E2. I was really  excited that I was able to understand and actually complete the instructions as stated. I made a tiny box and it turned out perfect. (the white one)
This morning I was dusting (a job I HATE!). My husband has several rings, collected since teen years when we went "steady", in a little glass heart trinket box of mine. Way too much for the box...wouldn't close and I was always spilling them. So I decided to make him a box for his "treasures".
TBBM 2 to the rescue. I chose the square box on page 59 and cut it at 10.53. Used the DCWV Guy Stack . I even used a sentiment from the stack. Took about an hour, I'm not a fast crafter. Anyway it came out pretty cute and if he messes it up, I can always make another one.
Thanks so much for visiting. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Late post...for me

Hope everyone had a great day. I wasted a lot of time today. I decided to cut out each flower layer for each flower on Flower Shoppe. That takes some time. I cut them all at 3". That was fine for the spiral centers, but I didn't like the other layers. So Lots of time and paper wasted. I was pretty disgusted with myself. But then late this evening I decided to make a card. No real clear idea in mind. So I do have something "in Progress." Hope I get a chance to finish it tomorrow.
Tonight's card is another anniversary card. I have 2 sisters with anniversaries in March. This one is at the end of the month.
I love the fact that the carts on the E2 are now able to be used with the gypsy. I will use them so much more.
I also got a new printer. So now I'm not limited to stamps on hand or cricut phrases for the sentiments. I felt like I was working with half a brain without a printer. OK now on to the card.
Cricut Essentials - labels on front - 1 @ 1.94 and 1 @ 2.06 and layered
Spellbinders dies on front with punched flowers and pearls
Storybook - label @ 5.59
Indie Art - rose cut @ 3.35
greeting - clear stamp
sentiment - computer generated
More spellbinders on the corners, punched flowers and pearls.

Thank you so much for visiting. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Pink Cricut - Sarah Hamer's link up party
Thanks so much for looking. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Hello and happy Monday. (can Monday really be happy?) It's a very gray day today. Still getting a little rain. We are so soggy.. This week is spring break so no baseball games. Next week when they resume the new crop of mosquitoes should be out in full force. That's always fun. YUK!!! Oh well, onto my notecards.
I think they came out pretty cute. My hubby seems to think the initial should be fancier and not have the fancy designs as a background. I told him they can be any way I create it. He always has an opinion and sometimes I just don't want to hear it. He sometimes makes me doubt my choices. So sometimes I choose to ignore his input.
Anyway these cards are made with leftover die cuts from spellbinders dies. I just couldn't waste them, could I?
The "B" is cut from Sophisticated cart. The larger one is 4 x 4 and the smaller ones are 3 x 3. The background papers are all scraps.

Thanks so much for looking. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

K stick horse

Hi, all. How's your day going? We have an 80% chance of rain today...and it isn't raining. YEA!!! We are so waterlogged. Standing water everywhere.
I alluded to a new school project a few days ago, well it's all over.
The kids were sent home with copies  of the horses head, mane and ears, front and back. Instructions were to put together the head, decorate and attach it to a stick.
My grandson colored it (and very nicely, I might add). We added a yarn mane, large wiggly eyes and added some punches to dress up the bridal. I could have added lots of beads and other bling but I have to control myself as this is for a little boy to ride in a hallway parade at school. Can't give other kids any reason to make fun of him. He was very happy with it and had a good time. Unfortunately we weren't invited to watch the parade, so not pics of that.
This is what we started with.
After coloring.
I put the head together. (which didn't fit and had to be cut to fit) My hubby attached the pole and rein. They had to be drilled.
He was very serious about this project.
Thanks so much for looking. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Sis and Bil anniversary card

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a great Friday. We've had 3" of rain this morning. I think our drought is over. Had quite a bit of the wet stuff the past month. Well, surprise...I made a card. I have been trying to put together this card for 2 weeks. I just couldn't settle on a design. Every time I would get an idea and start it just wouldn't pan out. Does that ever happen to you? I just couldn't get a clear picture in my mind.
Well, I found a blog a couple of months ago, Kittie Krafts, and she makes the most beautiful cards with punches and dies. Her work really amazes me. So my inspiration for this card came from her.
This is the sister that got married on St. Patrick's Day. I didn't want to go to crazy with the shamrocks this year. She loves daisies and the colors yellow and green. I think they'll like this one...evfen if it doesn't have any goats, chickens or guinea pigs on it. lol
Paisley - 12 petal flowers cut @ 2", 1.65" and 1.18"
Hoot n Holler - "always" cut @ 5.24"
Florals Embellished - "we love you" cut @ 2.41"
The scalloped frame and the label are nesties. I also used 3 or 4 different flower punches and a shamrock punch. I used 2 different MS leaf punches and an EK daisy border punch. Lots of inking and bling. Lots of dimension too.

Thanks for looking. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Good afternoon!

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. Ours started out in the 40's and is now in the 70's. And the wind isn't blowing 35 miles an hour. Yea! We get a couple of days before the rain starts again. I'm just really thankful that we aren't having weather like other parts of the country. Pray it ends soon and all those people get the help they need. Like when we have a hurricane.
OK, onto today's card. The girl who cuts my grandsons hair has a little boy about 3. He was born with some very serious problems and a few months ago the shunt in his brain stopped working like it should. He had to have brain surgery last week but is doing well. I made a card for him and sent a video to maybe help keep him still so he can recuperate. He's so young to have to go through all this.  I just wanted her to know we were thinking of them both. She calls him "little man" so that's what is on the card.
Plantin Schoolbook - "man" cut at 1.12
Beep Beep - "little" cut at 3.12, bulldozer cut at 4.41 and Beep Beep sign cut at 2.23
Everyday Pop-ups - feel better bandaid cut at 2.06
Tag for sentiment is a sizzix die and the paper is DCWV - All About Boys.
Thanks so much for looking. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Good morning!

Hi, all. I hope you are all having a great weekend. We're in the middle of another kindergarten "fun" school project. More about that later.
Today's project is a decorated gift package. My cousins' daughter is getting married in May and today is her bridal shower. I'm really looking forward to it because I will get to see some relatives I haven't seen in months. Plus this cousin is one of my favs.
Here's the recipe:
Wedding cart - Love sign cut at 3.88
Splish Splash - tag cut at 5.0
Mother's Day Bouquet - large flower layers cut at 2.29, smaller layers cut at 1.71
Center rose and rose on sign is a Sizzix spiral rose die.
Leaves on tag is a Sizzlets die and leaves on the sign is a MS punch.
The flourishes are a Sizzix die.
5 petal flowers are a MS punch and tiny flower accents are a 1/4 hand punch.
A lot of inking, stickles, a silver bow on the tag and a clear stamp finish it off.
Thanks so much for looking. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie
