Hi all

Well today is the next to last day of school. My gs loves his teacher but he will not miss getting up early everyday. I can't wait. I might get to sleep in til 6:30 am. lol
Today he brought a little treat for his class to take home. They said we could send something as long as it was small.  I didn't want the parents to hate me so I sent 4 little fruity tootsie rolls. in a bag.
Nursery Rhymes - Boy and dog cut at 1.71
Friends stamp - my stash
The headers are very simple. I think the kindergarteners will like them.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Happy Tuesday

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I got to do lots of crafting. Yea!  For 2 days I didn't even put on makeup or leave the house. I loved it.
What I have to show you today is the gift box for  my grandson's teacher.  I chose the heart gable box on the TBBM2 cart. It is a fun box to make, very easy.  I also really like using the score tool. Can't wait for other carts that use it too.
I'm going to put candy in the box as well as a gift card. So I had to make a gift card holder too. The box was cut in 2 pieces and glued together so I could make it bigger.
Here's the recipe:
TBBM2 - heart gable box cut at 11"
Recess - ABC cut at 2.18, apple cut at 2.41
Wild card - gift card holder cut at 3.75
Cricut Alphabet - for you cut at 1.75 (digital cart on the E2)
A couple of signs from the DCWV paper and it's done. The labels are nesties  labels 4.

Thanks so much for visiting. I love your comments. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Memorial Day and a challenge

Hi everyone. Hope you're having a great Memorial weekend.  Not only is today Memorial Day but it's also Monday and time for a new challenge at BBTB2. This time it's anything in a garden. That covers so many things. I just got Garden Soup and thought this would be the perfect time to use it. Well, that didn't work out.
I used a cart I haven't used in ages, Country Life and Block Party. (Strange combo, huh)
Here's the recipe:
Country Life - vegies cut at 3.59
Block Party - tomato cut at 1.35
Some cute buttons on the front in the colors of the vegies.. Nesties dies for the frame and MS corner punch. Sentiments are computer generated..

Thanks so much for stopping by. I know you are all so busy but we love the company. For lots of inspiration, stop by the rest of the DT at BBTB2. We all love the comments. Hope you enjoy the challenge.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Good morning

It's just after 6 AM here and I thought I better get this posted now.  I wish you all a great morning. So far, so good.
I have a cute and simple grad card for you today. I've only received 2 invitations so far. One boy, one girl so 2 different cards. You know one card never fits all. lol
I used Happy Graduation for this one. I love the banners and word art but I'm not too crazy about the owls. So I used one anyway. Did I mention it was simple?
Here's the recipe:
Happy Graduation - "you did it" cut at 3.12 I added a black shadow to make it pop - cut at 3.35
Congrats banner cut at 2.89 (I cut 0ff the owl)
Stand and Salute - fireworks cut at 1.43 and .96
Added some inking and glitter and used a MS corner punch inside. Sentiment - computer.
Well there you have it. I think it worked out OK. I have an idea for the "girl" card. Maybe I'll get to work on it today.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Mine started out lousy but is getting better. I lost a day Monday-weird illness.
So thanks for dropping by. Hope you saw something interesting.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Ho hum...

Good morning everyone! It's that time again. Are you ready for a fun new challenge at BBTB2?
This week it's "something in the kitchen." Any cartridge, colors, card, layout, home decor whatever you want. Just make sure you use a cricut cut. Doesn't that sound like fun?
This one had lots of possibilities but I finally settled on a coffee pot. I start each morning with a cup of coffee and emails. Helps me wake up,at least that's what I tell myself. Maybe I just like to read emails and visit blogs.
Anyway here's the recipe:From My Kitchen - coffee pot cut at 2.29
Doodlecharms - sun cut at 1.71
The sentiments are from me and the computer and layered. I used a MS corner punch inside.

Hope you like it.
Be sure to visit the rest of the BBTB2 blog team members blogs for their fantastic projects.
Have a great week and play along with us. It's such fun.
Thanks so much for stopping by. We all love comments.
I'm also entering this card in Exploring Cricut-use a cart you haven't used in a while.

Hi, all

Today I'm going to show you the fun I had with Tablescapes and Giant Flowers this past weekend. while surfing and visiting blogs I came across Jave Jen Creations. She had made this giant lotus blossom and had a wonderful tutorial. That's one of my favorites on Giant Flowers so I decided to try it.
This was last Friday night and I loved it when it was finished. The center is large enough to hold a flameless candle. I made a spiral flower from Art Philosophy for the center.
Saturday I decided to play with the new cart, Tablescapes. I love this cart. The cuts are so cute. I made napkin rings, butterfly and dragonfly drink clips,3D butterflies and the rosette. They were so cute.
Since Mother's Day was the next day I decided to use it all on the table with the flower as the centerpiece.
Here's the recipe:
Giant Flowers - lotus blossom cut at 6.5 (finished about 10.5)
Tablescapes - 3D butterflies cut at 4.0, napkin rings cut at 4.9, drink clips cut at 2.9 and the rosette at 2.75

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you got a little inspiration.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Bakery challenge

(a little but I won't be home at 10:00 and blogger won't let me set the time for posting)
Good morning everyone. It's time for a new challenge at BBTB2. This time it's "anything in a bakery."
Sound like fun? Why not join us.
When you check out the rest of the DT projects, you're bound to get tons of inspiration.
Seems every time I've ever been to a bakery, we bought donuts. So I chose a , wait for it,...a Donut! Surprised? lol

I used Sweet Shop Lite for my cricut cuts.
donut cut at 1.9
sugar and spice cut at .78
Added some glitter on the donut and glossy accents on the pink glaze. The banner strips are hand cut from DCWV Celebrations stack. Inside the banner flags are cut from the same stack. I strung them on some MS twine.
The piece of stamped chipboard is from the CTMH Art Philosophy bundle. The little "candies" are from a dear blogging friend, Jayne at Jayne-designs. She was so sweet to send me a pack of these. Thank you so much Jayne. You should visit her blog...but prepare to be amazed.
Well that's my project. Hope you like it.
Please drop by BBTB2 and check out all the fantastic creations from the rest of the DT.
Thanks for stopping by. We all love your comments.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Special day

Happy Mother's day to all of you!

Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is having a great day. It's a rainy one here.  So I took the time to make a little project gor my grandson.
He came in from Kindergarten the other day with a paper wristwatch they made at school out of construction paper. Needless to say it did not last long. So , since I had just ordered Paper Play, I knew I could make one that would last a little while.
This morning was the day. This is really easy. I cut it out at 2".  For his wrist it didn't need all the links.
Cutting and assembling took about 10 minutes tops. And he is a very happy camper. This is a really cute cart and I'm so glad I was able to get it so soon. Hmm...maybe some puppets next.

He made sure I put ALL the numbers on the face with hands at 3:00 because that's when school is out. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

gift bag

Good evening. Hope all is well. I was shopping all this morning and busy with my grandson this afternoon.
I had my MIL's, mother's day card ready early but I didn't get her a gift till today. She likes clothes, which makes it easy and hard to shop for her.
Anyway, I had a gift bag that would work and it was pretty cute. It had dimensional dragonflies on it. Bright and sparkly.
I added some spiral flowers from the Art Philosophy cartridge. Her card has flowers on it too.
I used the first flower on page 68 for all three, cut at 3.25,4.65 and 5.82.
I like the way it turned out, frankly I like making these flowers a lot.
formed. I'm not used to having someone home with me 24/7. My husband will be home at least a month more so I don't get so much alone time. And then he is retiring, I really have to make my peace with it.
Anyway thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your time. Have a lovely evening.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Please be kind, Maiden Voyage

This is my first Bitten By The Bug2 DT project post. I'm so excited.
I have followed this blog for a long time and there is always plenty of talent and inspiration to be found. I feel so blessed to be apart of it.
Our assignment for today was to use a frame. Any frame, from any cartridge, on a layout. I don't make a lot of layouts but I enjoy making them. So here's mine:
My grandson has his first loose tooth. He was so excited to show us when he came in from school the other day. So that's the subject of my L/O.
Art Philosophy - frame, layer cut on page 24, cut at 5.59
A Child's Year - tooth, page 77, cut 4 at 1.47
Mickey Font - title cut at 1.19
B is for Boy - toothbrush and tooth cut at 1.94
Boys Will be Boys - corner arrows, page 35, cut 4 at 2.06,  phrase, Oh Boy. page 35 cut at 2.41
I'll do the second page when he actually looses the tooth.
There's a list of the rest of the DT on my sidebar. Please take the time to visit them . You are sure to see some fabulous layouts. I am always amazed at the variety in the projects. So pay them a visit and leave a little blog love.
Thanks so much for dropping by. I love your comments. I so appreciate my followers taking time out to visit.

Update and a card.

Good morning everyone. Hope all is well. It's already Thursday and I feel like it should be Monday. When I have a big departure from the norm, I'm lost for at least a week.
Well the surgery went well, bicep reattached. Had quite a bit of pain for a couple of days but that is getting better. Probably by the weekend he will be driving. Thank you for all your concern and sweet comments.
Now for the new card. This is a birthday card for a nephew. He's grown and out on his own but I think he still likes to get a special handmade card from me.
Here's the recipe:
Art Deco - duck on page 54 cut at 1.3 (love this duck)
Art Philosophy - square page 24 cut at 4.29 (loving this cart)
Give a Hoot - cattails cut at 3
It really is a simple card but I like it. The labels are just rectangles and I used the Stampin Up ticket corner punch on it. I won that punch from Wendy Cranston, thank you Wendy.
Thank you for spending time with me. Hope you like the card too.

Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Good afternoon

Hi, all. Hope today is a good day.
Yesterday my husband  had surgery.  It was outpatient but there is still a lot of pain. His bicep had to be reattached. So he's pretty helpless right now. We had to be at the hospital at 6AM and once there I could not leave. That's fine except my grandson has to be at school at 8.
My neighbor and wonderful BFF offered to have him spend the night and get him to school . What a life saver she and her husband were.
I wanted to make her a little "thank you." I decided to make the basket and strawberries on the Spring Cottage cartridge. It came out pretty cute.
The basket was cut at 8 1/2 " and the strawberries were cut at 3 1/4"/  I added Hershey Kisses for a treat. This size strawberry will hold 2 "kisses". I filled the basket with shreds and loose "kisses". Then put 2 in each of the 5 strawberries.
I added some embellishments using Stampability dies, a tag and a little bow.
She loved it. That's the first time I made her a little surprise like this one.

Thanks so much for looking. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie
