Hello

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am trying to get over an upper respiratory/sinus/asthma week. Now I have a lingering cough. Hard to get over when you get older. What fun.
Today is the first time I have actually cut something out.  I made this simple card which wasn't a very good choice. It's the cupcake from Hello Kitty Greetings and the layers don't fit well. I stuck it together anyway. Not my best work. But at least I did something.
I'm trying to get my creativity started again. I have been visiting all of you and have seen amazing work. (in between my naps, that is) haha
So here's the little cupcake card cut at 5". I really need some crafty mojo to happen. I have two anniversary cards for two sisters to make next month. So I guess I'm easing into it.
Hope everyone has a great start to their week.
Thanks for visiting. Hugs and God bless, Stephanie.

Hi, all!

Today is kind of an odd day for me. My mom died 1 year ago today.I just feel like I'm supposed to "do" something. It's just really weird.  Sometimes my phone will ring and my first thought is, "That's probably mom."
It's just been a strange year. So today I thought I'd do something I enjoy. She loved my cards and had saved everyone of them. I have them back now. So I'm posting my latest card.
This one is for my niece's hubby. He likes hunting and fishing so this one has that kind of theme. It was hard to finish because I usually print my own sentiments on my computer. For some reason my printer has stopped printing the whole message. It prints only some lines and cuts some lines in half horizontally. Really frustrating. At first we thought it was the printer, but it will copy a document just right. So maybe it's mocrosoft word. I don't know. All I know is I can't type and print my own sentiments.
Oh well. back to the card. I seem to go off on tangents a lot lately.
For this one I used Campin Critters, here's the recipe:
forest 1 with layers cut at 3.94
deer tree with layers cut at 3.24
fishin moose with layers cut at 3.94
"Happy Birthday" and "For you" are stamps I had
The labels are nesties
The corners are a MS punch

Sorry to ramble. Thanks for visiting.Hugs and God bless, Stephanie.

Happy Friday

I am so glad it's Friday. I'm hoping for a very leisurely Saturday morning. I don't think we have to be anywhere. The weather is supposed to be awful.
I would like to mention that we have a few new followers this week. You are so welcome and I hope you enjoy visiting from time to time.
Todays post is a little different. I told you all how my grandsons school is always celebrating something. Well they celebrated the 100th day of school. You know, 100 days smarter. I don't know how that got started. (None of these things took place when my kids were in the same school.)  Anyway they spent more than a week getting ready for this. We had to "attach" 100 things to a t-shirt for the kids to wear on that Friday. That was the only instructions.
For 3 or 4 hours the Sunday before I tried to find "things" to put on a shirt.  The stuff couldn't be too big, kindergarteners shirts aren't very big. They couldn't be too heavy. (tear the shirt and the kids had to be able to move)  I couldn't believe this was so hard.
Finally it hit me...I have lots of shaped buttons. Yea!
So we have buttons, foam letters, picture of Sonic the Hedgehog (He loves him), some cricut cuts. He liked it and there was 100 things on the shirt.
So that's what these pics are all about. Are your schools doing any of these "extra" things?

Thanks for looking. Hugs and lots of crafty goodness sent your way. God bless, Stephanie

Last Valentines

Hi, all. Today I thought I would post my hubbys V card. It's just a simple card. Couldn't quite get into a real "Valentine" mode this year.
Of all carts, I used Once Upon a Princess.( Which goes you can't always tell what's on a cart by the title.) I cut the frog with the crown and his layers at 2.65 and the little lips punch has Glossy Accents on it. On the inside the word "my" is cut at 3.47, also from OUAP. I used the Mickey Font for the word prince cut at 1.35. Happy Valentines Day is a stamp.

But I'm not quite finished yet, today's a twofer . I'm posting the card I made for my grandson to give his paw paw.
This was my first time to use Smiley Cards-can you believe it? I cut the cute heart at 3.12 and the XO at 2.65. Plus the valentine stamp.

Thanks for looking. Have a great day. Hugs and God bless, Stephanie

Happy Valentines Day

Hope everyone gets what they want. I am ordering TBBM2, yea me! I didn't make many "V" cards this year.
I made one for my husband  and one for my grandson to give him.  I also did mailboxes for my 3 young grandsons and some Reeses treat holders for my boys and DIL.
My GS was very excited to bring "V" to school today. He couldn't wait to give his teacher the one I made for her.
So that's what I'm going to show you today. I made this rosette for another project but it came out so big. I made it at 5" like the cartridge said. They come out 5" in diameter and the folds are 1/2" deep. That is too big for my tastes. So it sat around on my desk for days.
I can't stand to waste a cut so I found a way to use it for his teacher. I used a cut from the new cart, Victorian Romance. I actually had to do things manually  because it isn't on my "G" yet. I'm so spoiled. I also used a doily as a background for the little clown cut. I attached this to a treat holder and on the back I used a sizzix die for the tag with part of a doily and punched hearts. The treat is a bag of Hershey Drops. (My new fav)

Good morning!

Hope everyone is well and warm. It is pretty cold this morning. It's only 43, but in the south that's cold. Tomorrow we're supposed to have rain, again. I know we were in a drought for months but the last 2 weeks have really been soggy. And then a new crop of mosquitoes hatch. Ugh!
Oh well onto my post. My nieces little girl's birthday party was a huge success. All the decorations I cut out for her looked so cute mixed with the things she bought. She really did a great job decorating.
One of my sisters from Houston came in and we rode together to the party. We were both giving her money so I made the giftbag and card for us both to use.
They came out pretty cute.
I used:
Once Upon a Princess - giftbag cut at 6.53, pink poodles cut at 2.53, cupcake cut at 2.18 and the "L" initial cut at 1.59
3 Birds - Life's a Party - Diva cut at 1.8
The tag was a couple of cuts I had leftover from another project.

Thanks for looking. Hugs and God bless, Stephanie.

another son, another birthday

Hello.
Well, my day didn't quite as planned yesterday. Got a little bit of crafting done, but not near enough. So I'm back at it again today. Yea!
Today's card is for another son with a birthday this month. I spent days thinking about what to do for his card. Then he told us he just bought a new set of golf clubs so I scrapped my card idea. He gets a golf card too.
I guess as they get older golf looks really inviting. It's also something they can teach their boys.I really like that they are getting back into it. (especially now that they can buy their own clubs) lol
So here is his card.

Recipe:
Wild Card - Its your day cut @ 9,35
Sports Mania - golf addict cut @ 2.65
All Sports - golf cart cut @ 3.47
Beyond Birthdays - Happy Birthday cut @ 1.71
Celebrations - cut @ 2.06
Well that's it for today. Thanks for looking. Hugs and God bless, Stephanie.

Short one

Hi, all. This will be a very short post. Tomorrow,  if all goes as planned , I hope to have a big crafting day.
This past weekend Gabriel went to another school birthday party, twin girls.
These cards were very simple. The sunglasses were from Paisley cut at 1.5. but I think they came out pretty cute.

Fore!

Hello all you glorious people. (Don't I sound chipper?) I'm trying...very hard.  It is Monday.
Well, surprise, surprise I have a new card today. My oldest has a birthday tomorrow so this is his. He lives in Florida and he comes twice a year to see his "old" parents. We just love his visits and Gabriel thinks he's the greatest thing since Spongebob. Anyway he and my hubby share some hobbies...guns, bowhunting, fishing and golf. They are both really into golf right now. Both have new sets of clubs. So there is lots of golf played when  he visits. That's the subject of his card. Take a look.

I used All Sports for - golfer, p. 43 cut at 3.25; Fore phrase, p. 27 cut at 2.29; golf bag, p.43 cut at 1.76.
The negative cut flag background is cut at 6.25 x 4.75. I used the leftover flags from this page to decorate the front and inside. To this I added golf ball buttons from my stash.
The flag with the hole cutout is from EDPD cut at 2.29.
Make a Wish is from Sweet Treats cut at 1.24

.Thanks so much for looking. Hope everyone has a creative week. Hugs and God bless, Stephanie.

Valentiney cards

Yea! It's Friday. Hope everyone is feeling well. I am slowly getting my February stuff done. Family birthdays, classmate birthday parties , Valentines Day and it goes on and on.
Well these 2 little cards have a story behind them.
Two of my grandsons, 8 and 11, are getting these Hello Kitty cards. I know that sounds nuts but there is a reason. You see at Christmas I spent weeks asking them what they would like from us. Like most kids nowadays, they have everything. They kept telling me they didn't know. I don't know why but Hello Kitty was very big in our area this Christmas. You could get everything in Hello Kitty. My Walmart still has a pink HK microwave available.
Anyway I told them since they couldn't give me any ideas, I would just outfit them with HK everything. I wanted to decorate a present with HK but I just didn't have the time.
So I thought Valentines would be a great HK card day.
Here they are. I used HK Greetings and cut the card feature with the heart at 3". The rest is just punches and stamps.

Thanks for looking. Hugs and God bless, Stephanie
