Hi, all.

I'm calling today, "bad idea" Wednesday.
I thought I would make this card for a challenge but it didn't turn out like I planned. Of course I kept changing my mind so it's my own fault. So it won't be entered into any challenge.
I thought I would post it anyway then maybe I can get past the time and materials I wasted on it.
I was using my new Epiphany crafts shape tools. I really like these tools.
So, I like some of the elements on this card, just not the card.
The flower cut is from Spring Cottage cartridge. I used some punched flowers, stickles and a nesties die for the rest of it.
Maybe I'll have better luck today. (thinking positive)
Thanks for visiting. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Averie's B-day

Good Thursday mornin, ya'll.  Hope it's the beginning of a glorious day for you. I have a birthday card for you today.

She also loves purple.  The card is pretty simple but it fits the bill.

I think it turned out pretty cute.

Good afternoon everyone. My post is later than usual but I just got finished with this card.
Today's card is for a family friend. We have known him since 1968. He and my hubby joined the National Guard together.  He's been a fixture in our lives ever since.  So he always gets a handmade card.

Art Philosophy - flags cut at 3.75, 2.5, 3.25
Celebrate with Flourish - wine bottle cut at 2.53

Birthday and Pearls

Hi everyone. It's a brand new Monday so it's also time for a brand new challenge at BBTB2. This will be my first time to host a challenge.
Since I have a birthday this month I decided the subject should be birthdays and pearls which are the June birthstone.
Any colors, cart, any project but you must have a cricut cut.
Could be a lot of fun how about joining us? After leaving here you might want to check the rest of the projects made by the DT.
I used:
Celebrate with Flourish - present is cut at 4.5 and layered
The cut is embellished with pearls and tiny punched flowers. Sentiment on the inside is on a Nesties Label 4 dies. embellished with leaves and flowers. The corners are punched.
I really like how this one turned out. Maybe it's the colors. I may just send this one to myself. lol

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

puppets

Happy Father's Day!
I want to wish all the dads, step-dads, substitute dads and mom/dads (whatever your situation) a wonderful day.
My grandson and I fixed breakfast for my hubby so he could go play golf this morning. The boys are coming over this afternoon. We don't mind him playing golf, in fact I insist on it. Gives me a little time to craft since I cooked the meat for tacos while I was fixing breakfast. Easy meals, YES!
So this morning I got to make some puppets using the cartridge Paper Play. Of course they are for my grandson. He loves me to make things for him. A couple of years ago I made daggers for him, they were about 10 inches long. I cut 10 or 12 layers and they were very sturdy. He played with them so much and they are still holding together.  I digress, back to the subject.
These puppets were cut at 3.24 and the base is the perfect size for his hand. They were really easy to put together and they are cute. I think it would be easy to adapt animals from other carts for the base.
Let me know what you think. The bases were full sheets of card stock everything else was scraps.

What a punch

Good Saturday morning, ya'll. I haven't been home much this last week. So I haven't been able to do much crafting. Mojo is kinda kaput right now. Hope things settle down next week.
Anyway I did do a cute little card for my hubby for tomorrow.
You see we have always argued as a way of communicating. Yes, sometimes it is for real but mostly it is good-natured.  In fact we had an aunt who lived next door. She would drop by almost daily. If we were being too nice, she wouldn't stay. Said it wasn't safe. haha
He's always telling me, when I'm asking goofy questions or hovering too much, "I'll knock you out!"
So this morning when I was pestering him about eating breakfast before he left, he said it to me once again.
Well the fist from Indie Art popped in my head and I HAD to make this card to give him tomorrow.
I learned very early how to deal with this dry sense of humor. Every male in the family has the same one!
Recipe:
Indie Art - fist cut at 4.29, POW cut at 2.06
I welded 2 shadows together to make the card. Printed my own sentiment and layered with red and black.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Monday I'm the host for the BBTB2 Monday Challenge. Check back to see what I created.

Thanks for visiting.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Sketch

Good morning, ya'll.It's Wednesday, halfway to the weekend. YEA!!!
I have a simple card for you today. I saw a card sketch at Artful Delights and decided to go with it. I just wanted easy and fast.
This card has no cricut cuts on it. It's all punches, nesties dies and the paper trimmer. The paper is Lemon Flower Stack by DCWV.
I even "fussy" cut some of the glittery elements from the paper to embellish with.
A little ribbon and glittery punches and it's done.
Sometimes a sketch can be helpful when you aren't up to hours of deciding of deciding which cuts and papers to use.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope today is a good one.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Father's Day

Hi, everyone.
Sadly I only have 1 Father's Day card to make now.  But I wanted to make a fun one. It's really quite simple and I only used one cart. Know which one, Art Philosophy. This is turning into a very useful cart.
I wanted this card to be from both myself and my grandson. I think it works.
Truly simple and I think I'm getting better at simple. Thank goodness. You don't get much done when it takes days for one card. haha
Here's the recipe:
Art Philosophy - star cut at 3.94, banner cut at 1.71, shape1 cut at 1.5 inked and stamped
sentiment printed on the computer

Thanks for dropping by and come again.
I'm also entering a couple of challenge:  My Craft Spot - Father's Day, Cardz TV - Challenge #110, and Celebrate the Occasion - Father's Day
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Roses challenge

Happy Monday all. Another Monday, another new challenge at BBTB2. This new challenge was chosen by one of our very talented designers, Glenda. She chose roses for this week's challenge.  I can think of so many beautiful things to do with roses.
So here we go. Use any cartridge, colors make a card, layout, home decor item whatever you want. But you must be a cricut cut.
I chose the Flower Shoppe cartridge.
The roses are cut at 3", 2" and 11/2". Sprayed them with glimmer mist and added stickles. The frame is a nestability and the leaves are from various dies. The lace is from my stash.
The paper is double-sided K & Co.

Thanks for the visit. Hope you saw something you liked. Don't forget to check the rest of the DT creations. You're sure to find lots of inspiration. This will be linked at Sarah Hamer Designs - Link up Tuesday.
Hug and God bless. Stephanie

My MIL has a birthday in June also. In fact it is next week.

Hubby's B-day

Hi, all. Today I have a birthday card for my hubby. Saturday is my hubby's birthday. You'd think with 4 sons and 4 grandsons male cards would be a snap for me...not so.
It still takes me forever. So you can imagine how happy I am when I get one of them finished.
This years card is a little whimsical. I wanted one Gabriel would enjoy giving him.
I also used only one cart to make it. That's pretty unusual for me. Anyway here's the recipe:
Something to Celebrate - Banner cut at 1,47, celebrate cut at 1.47, crown cut at 1.59, skyrocket cut at 2.06

Thanks for visiting. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie
This card is entered in Cardz TV Challenge #10," My Guy"

Happy Friday, everyone!

Well this is the first day of summer vacation. Wouldn't you know it, I woke up at 5:17 AM. Maybe I'll "sleep-in" til 6 tomorrow. haha
I've gotten quite a few cards done this week. My hands seem to feel better if I'm crafting and my knees don't hurt as much when I'm sitting. So it seems to be a "win-win" situation.
Today's card is an anniversary card for my son and his wife. They've been married 14 years and have 2 beautiful boys. Oh yeah, I can't forget their boxer, Maggie.
I used a cart I resisted buying, Ornamental Iron 2. (alas  I succumbed) OK for some reason I  am now typing in italics...don't know what button I pushed. Oh well, back to the card. I'll have to figure it out later. Seems every time I get on this computer it turns into an adventure of some sort. Not all of them are welcomed. haha
Here's the recipe:
Sweethearts - Happy Anniversary cut at 1.94
Ornamental Iron2 - gate 6a cut at 4.5 with shadow
Inside I used a MS punch and scalloped epoxy disc made with my Epiphany shape tool. (love those)
Added a little bling, a computer sentiment and it's all done.

Thanks for visiting. I always love the company. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie
