Happy Saturday!

Hi, all. Hope everyone is having a great day. Just a short post today.
Oh my, I just hit a button on my keyboard I never noticed before. I am always discovering something by accident. This one is for volume- up, down and mute. At least I don't think I messed anything up this time.
OK back to the post.
I love fruit. But with prices and selection not always so great I usually eat frozen fruit. Well the nectarines looked so good ($2. a #) I decided to try them this year.  This has to be the best one I have ever eaten.
So I thought I would post a pic of a perfect nectarine. (IMO) lol It's so good I decided to savor it by degrees.
Anyway, have a lovely weekend. We have a new challenge at BBTB2 starting on Monday. You won't want to miss it.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Thank you

Hi, everyone! Just wanted to thank all of you for the prayers and well wishes since my surgery. I go Wednesday to get the stitches out. I can hold my coffee cup in my right hand now. It's a little tricky with the stitches in my palm. But things are getting better every day. I miss creating but at least I can type and leave comments.
Thank you all so much. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Christmas in July - DT

Well, it's Monday again and time for another  terrific challenge over at BBTB2. This time our very talented DT sister, Jayne, has chosen Christmas in July. Now who doesn't love a Christmas theme? Hope you'll all join in the fun. Just remember that you must use cricut cuts on your project, whatever you make.. Lets have some fun.
Our cricut cartridges have so many Christmas images to choose from, there's something for everyone's taste. I chose to use our newest Christmas cartridge, A Quilted Christmas.
I chose the angel cut, silhouette. Since this cart is not added to the Gypsy yet, I had to use the E2 alone. I guess that helps me remember how to use the machine manually. I always use my "G".
The angel is cut at 5" and the base layer is pink vellum. I used the cuttlebug snowflakes folder to emboss the front base layer. Used some dies and punches for the added snowflakes. The labels are soellbinders. Lots of crystal glitter and a little pink bling.
Sure hope you join us. If you need inspiration check out all the wonderful projects made by the rest of the DT at BBTB2. Don't forget to use your cricut.

Thanks for stopping by. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Sentiments are printed on my computer and layered. Glittered the shoe and added eyelash yarn (courtesy of Bobby of Cricut Couple) to the back of the sentiment label. Also used a little stickles and a high heel punch. Also used a MS corner punch
Can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie
You are reading this today thanks to me being on this wonderful DT. I finally learned how to "schedule" a post. Which is what I did for today.  You see this morning I am having carpul (sp?) tunnel surgery on my right hand this morning. Hope It isn't long before I can "play" again.
Well I'm still hanging around. They scheduled my surgery at 2:00pm. So I',m waiting.

With Sympathy

Hi, all.Sorry for the lack of posts lately. My son was here for 10 days and I couldn't hole-up in my craft room. Now I'm working on getting ahead with BBTB2 DT posts because I'm having carpal tunnel surgery Monday on my right wrist. Fun, fun. But I do have a new card for today, Friday the 13th of all days.
This one is a sympathy card. My BIL's  91 year old Aunt Birdie died in her sleep. last weekend. I think she was a real character.
I decided to use a bird theme on this one. (her name) I don't think I've ever used this much color on a sympathy card before but I kind of like it.
My sister and her hubby always have tons of hummingbirds around their house so that's why I chose this bird.
recipe:
Art Nouveau - hummingbird page 66 cut at 5.0, waterlily page 27 cut at 2.53 and 2.65
Art Philosophy - square 4 page 53 cut at 5.0
Spellbinders fancy tag die with a stamped sentiment. Some embossing with my cuttlebug and MS corner punches.  I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

4th banner

Hi, all. Hope everyone is in the mood to celebrate.
It's been a crazy week. In between buying and selling vehicles, having to find and buy a new homeowners policy and our son coming in last Friday night from Florida...I got to do a little crafting. I had so many ideas but not enough time. So I was glad to get this cute (small) banner made.
Here's the recipe:
Pretty Pennants - base cut at 6.0 and layered
Stand and Salute - layered stars cut at  8.29, 7.12 and 6.06, 4th of July cut at 3.59
Independence Day - I love USA cut at 3.35 and 3.82, firecracker cut at 3.2
The roses were made with a Sizzix spiral rose die. The pinwheels are hand cut using 5" squares.
I ended up liking how it turned out. I just need more craft time.

Thanks for visiting and have a safe holiday. I'm entering this in a few challenges.
Exploring Cricut - show your red ,white and blue
My Craft Spot - 4th of July or Canada Day
FCCB - use a firecracker, sparkler etc.Hugs and God bless America and all of you. Stephanie
