3d plane

Well, It's Friday and the first day of summer vacation for the schools around here.
Of course we still had to get up and out early for 8am Dr.  appointments. But at least there is no school.
So today I'm posting something I made for my grandson. A 3d biplane I bought in the Silhouette store.
I love 3d so this was perfect for me and my grandson.
Isn't it cute?
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit.

Teacher gift

HI, ya'll. Well, I finally got the teacher gift bought and the card and bag made.(all in one day, can you believe it?)
So this is a short second post.
This card is another card kit in the Silhouette store. They really make it easy. I don't have to measure a thing. Just choose colors and papers.
Gabe's teacher's favorite color is purple so that's the color scheme.
psst-she also got some glittery purple nail polish with her mani-pedi stuff. (but don't tell)

Thanks for stopping by.

Say What?

Hi and happy Tuesday, everyone. I have another short post for you.

Take a look. What 'cha think?

Pretty cute, huh?

Silhouette card

Hi, everyone. How are you this Wednesday? I have a new card for you today.
This one is made from a cut file I bought in the Silhouette store. I made this one just like the kit was intended. (Mondays card used this same cut file with some tweaking)
As you can see it is very easy to change and make your own.
I'm still having so much fun with my new toy. And no, nothing could replace my cricut and carts. is really nice to have options. I think it fuels creativity. (at least for me it does)
Anyway, here's the card. What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hi, again. I have a second post for you today.

My hubby started playing golf in 1989. Like everything seems to be it is addictive. During good weather he has played as much as he could. Now that he's retired he plays 3 or 4 times a week. (that's like a mini vacation for me) lol I like him playing golf. It's good for both of us.

Anyway, Sunday, May 26, 2013 (I always ask how he played) he brought home his score card.
In all these years this was his first "par" game.  He was pretty pleased and I was just plain excited.

So guess what I did next? I made a page for him. This was the quickest page I ever did. From the time he gave me the score card till I finished was less than 2 hours. (a little victory for me, too)
So without further ado, here's my LO.

Not bad for a quickie, huh?
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi, all. I'm back today with a card I made for a brand new challenge, Fun Day Friday.
Check out Jo's Scrap Shack blog for lots of inspiration. This is the very first challenge and it's using a fun sketch.
This is my card. I used Spellbinders dies and a little gold bling.

Thanks for stopping by.

Let us never forget!

Hi, again. This is my second post today. Earlier was my regular DT post but I had to post something to commemorate this day.
This was made from a card kit I got at the Silhouette store. I changed it up a bit. Turned the label vertical and used a Sizzix die instead of the flower cut in the kit.
Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sunday already. Holiday tomorrow and then just 3 days of school left. YEA!!!
I'll be so glad not to have to deal with school and this was only 1st grade.
So I'm still playing with my "P".  The butterfly, word circle and tag were "S" cuts  That I made trying to figure out the program.
Couldn't waste them could I?  So I turned them into a card.  For the card base I used Spellbinders .
(I saw a tutorial on using Sp. dies to make a card base)
So here's my card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Good morning! Hope you're having a great Saturday. I'm sitting at the computer in my pj's. So far pretty good.
I have a quick post for you today. I'm still playing with my Portrait. This is one of the cuts I bought. I just love the Silhouette 3d cuts.
This is a lily on a lily pad. I know I cut off the points of the pad. (my fault for not paying attention where I put the paper)
Anyway this is for a sample and to learn how to put them together.
Fun, fun, fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Love reading your comments.

B-day card

Well, I guess it's good afternoon, isn't it? I wanted tom get this in this morning but had some errands to do. They took much longer than I wanted. Had to go to 2 Walmarts and a Ross to get what was needed but I saved the best for last. The Market Basket in my neighborhood.
Why did I save it for last, you ask? Because I didn't want to ruin my whole morning. You see, they've rearranged the whole store! You can't find anything, takes forever. I was there for an hour when it should have taken 20 minutes and I didn't even buy any meat! I know I'll have to go back but I'd had enough. Every one in the store was complaining because they couldn't find anything
OK, enough of this. I need to find my "center".( Picture me in a virtual lotus pose. that's the only I'd be able to get into one) lol
Onto my card. This one is for a grown nephew whose out on his own and getting married next summer. (but he's still our baby)
I used Outdoor Man for this one. For the life of me I can't remember where I wrote down the specifics. (evidently not in the notebook where they belong)
Here it is:

Anyway, thanks for stopping by.

Silhouette cut

Good Friday morning, all. Another short post today.
I'm still playing with my Portrait and loving it. I've just been cutting various designs that were free and I've purchased.
Today I want to show a 3d bowl with handles. I cut it at the size it was when I clicked it. You just have to ungroup and place what will fit on the mat, but that's easy enough. It makes a nice size bowl, 7 1/2 x 3 and the sides flare out. I think I will make several to use for the 4th of July BBQ.
 What do you think?
I'm still thanking Linda Kaiser of Paper Boutique and Silhouette America. for this wonderful prize.
Thanks so much for dropping by.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Good afternoon everyone. Just a quick post.
I'm entering the Silhouette challenge with their free file for this week.  I'm still experimenting with this new machine and it really is a lot of fun.
The circle thanks was cut at 2.85.  The toolbox was a free file at Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. I have no idea what the size was.
Thanks for stopping by.
I've noticed a problem with my pics in my last 2 posts. For some reason they seem to be shortened and stretched.
Anyone know why?

Good morning, everyone. Ready for a new BBTB2 challenge? Our lovely Sarah has chosen "pass it on" as our theme for this week.

2011 school photo

Happy Saturday, everyone. I did something yesterday for pure joy. I made a LO.
I know it's not a big deal for most but it is for me. I'm a sporadic scrapper, so I tend to get excited when I do a page.
This is a 2011 school pic of my grandson. He has a little trouble smiling on command and holding it till the camera snaps it. haha He's getting better.
This is a simple LO. A couple of die cuts and DCWV Grade School stack.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.

New toy

Hi, everyone. Surprise! A post that isn't scheduled.
I won a new toy at the end of March. It took a while to get here but it found it's way home on May 1st. Can you guess what it is?
I am the winner of a new Silhouette Portrait! Thanks to Linda Kaiser of Paper Boutique and the generosity of Silhouette America. I was and still am blown away. I have never won anything like this before.
So I've been playing and learning how to use the free software. As some of you know, computer programs and I don't always play well together. So I haven't upgraded to the Designer software yet.
But I'm working at it. I have to tell you, I LOVE this machine already! The cuts are so precise. Love, love, love it!
I've been experimenting with different cuts and procedures of the program, lots of 3d. (which I love)
So with this cute watering can I am entering my first Silhouette challenges.
3d watering can - Silhouette store
Doily pieces - Samantha Walker file
Peachy Keen face and googly eyes

This fun project works with 3 challenges:
Silhouette Challenge Blog - Anything Goes
2 Creative Chicks - googly eyes
Silhouette Blog - use Samantha Walker doily file
Not too bad for my first S project, huh? Thanks again to Linda Kaiser and Silhouette America.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Mother's Day card

Hi, everyone. Today our challenge at BBTB2 is to make something to honor Mom. Our oh-so-talented leader, Susan, chose Mother's Day as our theme.
Mother's Day is a little bittersweet for me. In the last 2 years, hubby and I have both lost our moms.
So I made one for both of them. It's simple but it works.
Here it is:
Sugar and Spice - love you birds cut at 3.71, hugs and kisses label cut at 3.59
corners - Spellbinders and a button finish it off

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

Thought I'd enter a couple of challenges.
My Craft Spot - for mom
Cardz TV - There's no other like my mother
