Laikyn's card

Well, it's finally Friday. Is everybody as glad as I am?

Today is bittersweet for me. This is the third anniversary of my mom's death.

My niece had a baby girl, Laikyn, a week and a half before my mom died.  She was in the hospital and never got to meet this great granddaughter. (she was also born on my son's birthday, Feb. 11).

So I decided to post Laikyn's card on mom's anniversary. She would have been nuts over this child. She's really a character.

She had a Dora fiesta party. Lots of delicious Mexican food and plenty of Dora.

Since we don't have any carts with Dora and I couldn't find any files, I opted to print off the internet. Finally found one that would work.

Take a look:

The background paper inside is a pic of nachos and the stars are from a pic of tortilla chips.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy, Thursday!

Some of you may remember that we lost a BIL a few weeks ago, thanks so much for your sweet condolences. A week later his wife lost her mother. A lot of misery in a short time for her and her family.
I sent her this card. It was made with Spellbinders dies.
I think it turned out OK.

I was actually quite happy with this one.

Thanks for stopping by.

Last of Valentines

Hi, everyone. It's Wednesday, 2 days down this week. Seems like it has lasted forever so far.

My computer escapades are just nuts. Last week my printer wouldn't print - again! Tried it again this week and it worked. I don't know if Windows is changing things up or what. If so I wish they would leave things alone. They are taking all the joy out of my hobby.

So today blogger seems to be working for me. (I get an error message every time I try to post but it lets me post anyway, don't know what that's about) I hope it lets me add my photos. We'll see.

Today I'm going to post the last of my Valentine stuff. I'm really ready to move onto something else.

I made these little lollipop covers for Gabe's class.

For his teacher -

Cards for grandsons -

Treat boxes - Lori Whitlock mailbox

The end.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hopefully I'll have something new soon. (If all the stars line up just right) lol

Valentine banner

Well, it's Monday, again. I think that's all I have to say about it.

I have a few pics of my Valentine banner to show you.  It spells out love because I did not want to make a flag for each letter of Happy Valentines Day. Too impatient, I guess. Sometimes holiday names are just too long. Anyway sorry for being lazy but here it is.

This is my Sil Advent calendar frame for Valentines.

Thanks so much for looking.

A gathering of hearts

Good morning, all. Hope everyone is well. Those of you snowed in, I hope the snow has stopped. I wish a wonderful coming week for everyone.

I thought I would show the rest of my Valentine d├ęcor. Most of it is all around the tree. My family just doesn't "get" my obsession with paper and all the 3d. Cards they usually appreciate but the rest, their thoughts are , " Aren't you a little old to spend so much time playing with paper."

So I'm really alone with my obsession. Except here where I can share with YOU. So thank you for not thinking I'm getting senile. lol

These pics are some things I created to surround my heart tree. Hope you enjoy looking.

These are luminaries from Sil online store.

Another cut from Sil.

This is a free cut file from Bird's cards.  They have some wonderful files.

Here they are all together.
Thanks for stopping by.

Valentine tree

Good Thursday morning, everyone. I hope all are safe and warm. If you are snowed in I hope you have everything you need. It's been a strange winter for most everybody. I think we will all be glad to see spring this year.

Looks like Valentines Day is tomorrow so I thought I would show you my tree. Even though I wasn't posting new stuff, I was cutting. I've been having issues with printing. That always messes up my thought processes. After almost 2 weeks it just starting printing without the error message. Yippee! That lasted about a week. Two days the "darling" computer said my computer was offline to please check it to see if it is plugged into said computer. It is. I haven't checked to see if it works today yet. Why screw up my morning so early, right?

Sorry for rambling. Here's my tree:

All these cuts were made with the Portrait. The treetop is a 3d file turned upside down.
What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie Stay safe and warm.

Another son's b-day

Good morning. Two days, two posts-I must be on a roll. lol

Today I have another b-day card for my second son who is now 41. (no wonder I feel so old)

This one is my jokester. He can mimic and find "the funny" in everyday situations. A crazy sense of humor. He attracts people like a magnet. So I thought this card was perfect for him. He will understand about the fox. (hubby didn't)

Take a look:

I know it's very simple but I think he will like it.

Am I really this old???

Good morning everyone. I have to say I got up this morning (4:30) feeling every bit of my 63 years. This past weekend was a big reminder. My oldest son had his 43rd birthday! I can't believe I'm a Sr. citizen. When I was a kid I thought 30 was almost dead. How things and perceptions change.

Anyway I sent his care package and card  and he got it in time. Hopefully he will be able to come in July.

So here's his card:

This was a file from the Silhouette online store. Really like this file. It can be used for anyone.

Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow with some Valentine projects.

Super bowl

Hi, everyone. This post has actually nothing to do with the super bowl it just happens to be the same day. I don't follow football or any sport really except golf because my hubby plays and watches. So I know some of the key players and have a few favs.

As far as sports go I follow what my grandkids play. That's enough for me. I can be very vocal in their support. Sometimes it amazes me how wrapped up I can get in a game. I don't cause trouble or yell at umpires or anything, I just get very excited when they do good.

Cade, 10, had 2 basketball games yesterday. There was so many "almost" baskets I needed a nap afterwards.  Cade intercepted a ball, tried for a basket and committed his first foul. lol All in one game.  We were so excited.

This has nothing to do with this post, either.  Sorry for rambling.

This post is a few more t-shirt clips and some earrings.

Take a look:

These are all made with the gauzy fabric that has plaster in it. You wet it, shape it, dry it, paint ans seal it.

You'll see this hat again with the t-shirt it went with.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments. Hope to see you soon.

Hugs, God bless. Stephanie
