A thank you

Hello and happy Sunday. Hope you are all getting ready for a fantastic week. I'm starting to panic just a little. Sons visit and the 4th of July BBQ are less than 2 weeks away and I have so much to do.

I also have the baby shower next Sunday and I'm in charge of the crudité. I need at least a gallon bag of each veggie - cauliflower, broccoli carrots, celery etc. I hope my hands cooperate. At least I already have the gift and it's all wrapped and decorated.

Before I start posting 4th décor pics, I have a thank you. We have a very good friend of over 40 years that my hubby hunts and fishes with. We met him when they were in the National Guard together. They even worked in the same company all these years. (His first wife and I have the same birthday and are the same age)

When hubby goes to the lake to help him out they usually end up fishing. He sends bags of fish home for me. He loves my brownies and mac and cheese. So if it is holiday time I send him a whole pan of mac and cheese. (I only make it for holidays) In between holidays I make him brownies. Everyone loves my brownies.

Anyway this is the  card I made to thank him for the fish.

I hope he likes it. (hubby did)

I'm going to enter this in DLArts June linky challenge.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.

Yea! It's Friday

Hi, everyone. Are you all glad it's Friday? Yesterday we finished with swimming lessons and there is one more week of summer rec. Then I have a week to get things ready for my son's visit and the 4th of July BBQ.

I have been cutting things to decorate with. (I wish that was all I had to do) I've also been getting ready for a baby shower I'm helping to give.

Today I'm going to show you the final Father's Day  cuts.

The card and the golf bag box are SVGCuts  cut files. (I love SVGCuts)

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Good Tuesday morning!

Hi, everyone. We made it through another Monday. YEA!!!

I have a birthday card to show you today. One of my sisters had a birthday this past weekend. (the one born 3 years after me) Her favorite colors are yellow and lime green. I always try to use at least one of them. (this sister also makes fabulous jewelry) She actually makes money and is able to subsidize her passion, unlike me. haha
Here's her  card:

The basic card s a Sil online store file and I added a few things.

Thanks for stopping by.

Celebrating Paw Paw (dad)

Happy Saturday, everyone. So far so good around here. I've got my spaghetti and meatballs cooking for tomorrow so I won't have to rush. It takes about 4 hours so I try to do it ahead of time. It's always better the next day anyway. lol

I decided to make hubby an extra card. He loves box cards. So guess what I made?

Of course, a box card. I put all the things he loves to do in it.

He loves shopping on his computer, playing golf, hunting and fishing. I even added a cute little lawnmower from the Cricut cartridge, Chore Chart. Not that he loves mowing grass but he keeps that up so he can hunt, fish and play golf. Not a bad trade - cut grass one day a week and play the rest. haha

I'm even entering this in a challenge. FCCB has a Celebrate Dad challenge, #214, this week.
Also entered in Cardz TV 3d Father's Day Challenge #2.

I think he'll like it.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads.
Thanks for stopping by.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I'm baaack!

Don't anyone faint. I'm just trying to post a little more regularly.

Today I'm going to show you an anniversary card I made for my best friend and neighbor. They have been married 46 years this month.

Everything was cut with Spellbinders dies.

Thanks for stopping by.

It's over

Hi, everyone. Well baseball is finally over. We got to play 4 games in the tournament and lost our second one last night. There's good and bad about it. The worst part is we lost to our biggest community football rival. Groves absolutely hates to loose to Nederland and vice versa. (and in our own park) lol The good part is everyone can finally relax, we are just tired. It has been a long season.

Gabriel met a lot of new kids and has some great memories of his very first baseball season. The poor kid is wiped out.

So that's it for baseball. Now I can concentrate on other things ... like birthdays, Father's Day, 4th of July BBQ, nephews wedding, nieces baby shower ... just to name a few. lol

Today I have a card for my son and DIL's anniversary, last week.

I used files from the Sil online store.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hubby's Day

Good morning, And yes it is early. I haven't been posting this early in a while but I wanted to get this done before I forgot about it.

Today is my hubby's birthday. His celebration may be put off till next weekend because of scheduling. But we will give him some cards and a giant treat. We have summer rec, swimming lessons, then come home and have lunch, rest eat again and get to ball park. When the rest of the family gets off work, we will already be at the ball park. So we are playing it by ear.

I can show you a couple of cards and his cute treat holder.

This next card is from SVGCuts Father's Day Mega Pack. (but we used it or a b-day card)
I left the inside bare for Gabe to write in it. (usually kids write so big)
Well, I should never take this child for granted about anything.
Look how tiny he wrote! lol

This candy bar holder holds a huge bar. I thought it was for a king size bar so that's what I bought. When I got it made it blew my mind. It holds a giant bar. But I love the design. Anything golf I love.
It measures about 11 x 5 1/2.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

All star update

Hi, everyone. Hope your weekend has been good. Thought I'd give you all an update.

We played Friday night and our park hosted it. We won! Our boys made no outs. There is a 5 run per inning rule. We scored our 5 and then they got to bat. Score ended up 15 to 6.

But that wasn't the best part. Gabriel made an "in the park" homerun. He hit it all the way to the centerfield fence. You would not believe the excitement!

I got the hit and sliding home on my phone but I didn't post before because I haven't been able to put them on my computer. This afternoon I tried again and it worked. YEA!!!

So here are the pics.

They gave him the game ball for the home run. So now he has 2. At the beginning of the season when we were the only game in the whole area (because it was so cold) He was the only one in the whole game to get a hit. He also scored.
So he has his game balls in display cubes.
(this was his 1st year to play ball)

We play our 3rd game tomorrow night.

Thanks so much for stopping by and all the sweet comments.
Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

1st All Star game

Hi, all.

Well Wednesday night we had our first All Star game. It started with a bang. These 8 year olds did so well. Great hits, fielded well and our little pitcher did really good. As you probably know, Little League is very strict on the number of pitches a child can throw.  So when we had to change pitchers, the second one did well, too.

It was the 4th inning and we were wining 8 to 0. Then we had to use other pitchers. Not everyone can pitch but they all tried so hard. Unfortunately, they scored 3 runs and in the 5th inning we walked the winning runs in.

So it was really exciting. They didn't beat us, we lost. We clearly out played them. (not just my opinion) lol We were so proud of these boys.

Tonight is our 2nd game. We're all getting excited.

So today I thought I would show you Gabe's picture with his yard sign.

I also made him the SVGCuts baseball hat box from their fun and games file.

The black one is his team he played on this season. The purple one is All Stars.

I think they came out cute and are really easy to put together.

Hi, everyone. Today was  the second day of summer rec and they took the kids to the city pool. Gabriel had such a good time. He tells me the alarm clock will be ok, Summer rec only lasts a month. HAHA I'm just glad he is having a good time.

Well today I'm showing one of the first things I made for the July 4th decorations. This is a 3d pinwheel centerpiece, #55801.

Take a look:

I actually used washi tape on this. I buy the stuff but rarely use it. I wrapped the kraft paper stems and the box. The stars just happened to work.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Grad cards

Happy Sunday, everyone. Hope you're having a fabulous weekend. Since school ended (last Thursday) I've had 3 glorious mornings without an alarm clock. YEA!!!  I don't know what it is about an alarm clock but it really just irks me no end. Maybe it's my age, I'll be 64 this month. The clock is ticking away! haha

Oh, well, enough about that. I do have a couple of grad cards to show you. They are made from a Sil file and very simple. (which is what I seem to need lately)

This was a double whammy, 2 sisters, one graduating college and one from high school.

Told you they were simple.

OMGeeeee! Do you see my mistake? I just saw it when I uploaded this photo. The "I" is missing from the "it" on the top card.  Of course they've already been mailed and checks cashed .LOL
They probably think I should go back to school. LOL

And this is the way things have been going for me. HAHA!

Have a great day. Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs and God bless you all. Stephanie
