Good afternoon. How is your Monday going? Let's just say "it's Monday" and leave it a that. Of course part of the problem could be that I only got 3 1/2 hours sleep. Can't wait till it's time to go to bed tonight.
Today's post is the last SVGCuts kit for Halloween. ( there is actually 3 more Halloween kits I want, but I'll save those projects for next year) One even has a small 3d haunted house that I never noticed, next year. I've spent enough time on Halloween.
This is the Haunted Forest kit. It has the Bewitched cabin in it that I showed you earlier.
Today is my grandson, Alec's, 14th birthday. His dad, my son, has to go to work at 2 pm so we are all meeting for an early lunch.
This is his 2nd year to play football for Middle School so that is the theme of his card. The box card is from the sil online store # 60655. The football treat box is from the SVGCuts Football Party kit.
Take a look:
I cut an extra shirt to make a pocket for his cash.
Is everyone glad it's time for the weekend? No alarm clocks and we can sit around in pjs till 8 or 9 in the morning.
I really haven't made too many things this week. I just want to be sure I'm finished with fall and Halloween before I start Christmas. Switching back and forth makes me crazy. I did get the Halloween treat bags done for Gabe's class yesterday.
I just have a couple of birthday cards left for December then it's full-on Santa mode.
Today I have the SVGCuts Spooky Soiree kit. All these are in this kit.
Yes, the skeleton is holding a hot dog. He was up for Gabe's birthday and he was hungry, too. lol
I grouped together what I could and just put single pictures of the rest. I love the spooky tree candelabra. It was so much fun and it's so cool in the dark.
God morning! I have a couple of projects to show but they aren't from SVGCuts. (hence the surprise)
These files are from the sil online store, Snapdragon Snippets, a mourner's hat and a cozy kitty luminaire, Ashbee Designs.
Snapdragon Snippets has lots of cute designs and they really are sturdy. I would do more of theirs but I have trouble with the way the instructions are. I actually thought they were written by a man till I saw pics that showed hands.
Anyway I kept looking at this file, then the instructions. After about a week I couldn't stand it. I had to "try" making it. This time I pretty much figured it out.
This hat reminds me of New Orleans and parades. My dad's family all lived in Louisiana and I was born there. This hat just made me remember family vacations, eating boiled crabs in the lake restaurants, dancing to the jukebox, fun with cousins...just happy times. We were all twelve and under. Great memories, 1955 - 1965.
Well, have you had a crafty weekend so far? I actually haven't made a thing! Today I want to tackle a file from the Sil online store. I say tackle because I have lots of trouble understanding their tutorials.
It's just like asking my hubby and I to explain how to do the same thing. The way he puts it makes no sense to me at all. The last 3d file of theirs I tried was last June. It was 3d fireworks boxes. I ended up just slapping the top and bottom on with a lot of glue and leaving out all the nice detail on the ends.
So we'll see how today goes.
Onto today's post. Today I have SVGCuts Toil and Trouble kit.
I made the witch's shoe also but I gave it to my niece before I took the photos.
These were such fun to make. I make a lot of Mary's holiday cards but I use them for décor.
I can't help it. They're just so cute.
I have been overwhelmed and it's my own fault. I have been doing so much cutting and gluing and not stopping to take photos. I had all these things put out for décor and I couldn't figure out how to post them where they made sense to me.
So I decided to post by svg kit. I wrote down each kit I used and a list of each project I cut from that kit. Then I took pictures one kit at a time. Now I can post each kit and all the projects from it.
So much simpler. Today's kit is SVGCuts Fright Night. (there newest release)
Take a look:
I'm always amazed when I can make something big.
This pumpkin is 8" in diameter and 7 1/2" high.
Isn't that cool?
What 'cha think?
Aren't they cute?
Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs and God bless. Stephanie
Today 's post is some random cuts I used for decorations. The large tissue boxes and the other cuts are from the Sil online store.
I bought this bat file last year. (Jamie Cripps) It's still one of my favorite files. In fact the bats are still up. I know, everyone thinks I'm nuts. shh (don't tell my family, but this year I am going to make special Christmas bats) They may have me committed!
Hi, Peeps! Hope you all had a great weekend. Maybe a little crafting? hmm
Friday was a heavy craft day for me. Made 2 apothecary jars, 3 cards and the base for a large pumpkin bucket. Finished the pumpkin and helped my niece make a birthday banner for her son.
We got ready for church and afterwards went to dinner. I intended to craft some more but I kept falling asleep in my chair. I'm talking sitting straight up, not even leaning back. Needless to say I have not been sleeping well. I've learned not to try crafting when I'm like this, just a waste of time paper and glue.
So here I am today, not really rested but I am awake. Hoping to make "something".
I decided to show you a couple of projects I made from SVGCuts Midnight Jamboree kit. I just can't get enough of their 3d kits.
Hello, everyone. Can you believe it is already Oct. 1? Time is really flying. Hope you are all able to be creative.
It seems the more stress I have the more I cut and glue. It is hard to get started sometimes but once I start I can loose myself in the process. Which is a good thing. Better than therapy!
Ok, the reason you came by. Today I'm going to show you my haunted cottage. It's SVGCuts of course, The Enchanted Forest. God bless Mary and her how-to videos. I cut out all the pieces (and there are a lot of them) It takes me a long time studying her videos to be able to choose the right papers for each element. Some have a lot of layers. I've learned to take my time and not get in a hurry.
Watch each section, pause it and put mine together.. Takes a while but it really makes me feel good when it's done.
Take a look: (sorry, quite a few photos)
I tried to shoot each angle. I added all the bats, ghosts, jack-o-lanterns etc.
When I spend a lot of time and paper on a project it's hard for me to put it away. This one may have to be "Christmased" up a bit. Maybe a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, a few wreaths...
Anyway I like it. It looks really creepy cute with the battery tea lights turned on. When I get everything up and fixed I'll take photos with everything lighted.
