Happy Wednesday

Good morning, all. Hope all is well with you.

Before I get to the project, I just want to say a big thank you to my loyal bloggie friends. Mind you, I don't get a lot of traffic (and that used to bother me) . I thought you had to have hundreds of visitors daily or you were just a failure. That even kept me from crafting.

But the friends I have encourage me and keep me going on this journey are so special to me. I love hearing from you and I love visiting you. So thank you so much for making this special.

I have a card for one of my sisters today. She recently retired (she didn't even tell us she was thinking about it).
We were shocked. I'm so happy for her.

So here's her card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs and God bless. Stephanie

  1. YES! A giant margarita! What could be better than that? LOL! What a fun retirement card, Stephanie. Brings a smile to my face!
And blog traffic numbers are a tricky thing... and I often wonder how much emphasis to put on them.... I do think that with Instagram and Pinterest, blog viewership is down in general... but if you enjoy it, and it makes you happy, then that's what it is all about. :)

  2. What a FUN Retirement card!!! I bet she loved it! And I'm Happy to stop by and say HELLO!!!! That's what us crafty people are suppose to do! Support each other!!! None of us began with the most amazing projects and we are suppose to encourage each other so we can feel supported and grow with our craft!! And I've seen sooo many crafter's grow including myself! So I'm happy to keep supporting my AWESOME Bloggy friends!!!! But I do agree that with Pinterest & facebook and all that other junk... blogs aren't getting the same hype as they use to... It's a lot of work to keep up with it all.... Honestly I don't know how any of us can craft with all these different outlets! HA!!! Have a great Stephanie! :)

  3. First of all, Happy Retirement to your sister! I know she will love this card - that margarita looks pretty yummy! I especially love the "salt" around the rim - YUM!

I know how you feel about the number (or lack of) of visitors and comments. It used to bother me also, but I've decided that I would rather have just a few comments from ladies like yourself that I know are sincere with their comments. I see so many bloggers offering all sorts of give-aways and gimmicks to increase their followers. I've also been on Design Teams that have giveaways to entice crafters to follow DT members. That works pretty well and I got loads of "followers" while on these teams. However, once the giveaways are over or you leave that DT - the comments and visits STOP. You learn pretty quickly who your real "followers" are and it's always those people you enjoy chatting with and getting to know through bloggy land. And, that works just fine for me! So, stop by anytime you feel like it and I'll continue to pop by your place for a visit when I can and we'll just craft and visit to our heart's content ♥

  4. OMGosh I bet she will loVe that wonderful card. What a luck girl to have you for a sister. Thanks for sharing.
I want you to know I appreciate all the sweet comments you leave on my blog, too.
    Crafty hugs,

  5. You don't need a lot of traffic to be successful with your blog Stephanie. If you are reaching and inspiring just one person that makes you successful in my eyes. But I know you inspire more than just one person in blogland! So you keep making these amazing projects my friend!! Besides Gabe would have a fit if you didn't do your projects to decorate with! lol I am loving your sisters retirement card!! It's so cute and just perfect!! Hugs, Brenda
