Hello.
Well, my day didn't quite as planned yesterday. Got a little bit of crafting done, but not near enough. So I'm back at it again today. Yea!
Today's card is for another son with a birthday this month. I spent days thinking about what to do for his card. Then he told us he just bought a new set of golf clubs so I scrapped my card idea. He gets a golf card too.
I guess as they get older golf looks really inviting. It's also something they can teach their boys.I really like that they are getting back into it. (especially now that they can buy their own clubs) lol
So here is his card.

Hello all you glorious people. (Don't I sound chipper?) I'm trying...very hard. It is Monday.
Well, surprise, surprise I have a new card today. My oldest has a birthday tomorrow so this is his. He lives in Florida and he comes twice a year to see his "old" parents. We just love his visits and Gabriel thinks he's the greatest thing since Spongebob. Anyway he and my hubby share some hobbies...guns, bowhunting, fishing and golf. They are both really into golf right now. Both have new sets of clubs. So there is lots of golf played when he visits.That's the subject of his card. Take a look.

I used All Sports for - golfer, p. 43 cut at 3.25; Fore phrase, p. 27 cut at 2.29; golf bag, p.43 cut at 1.76.
The negative cut flag background is cut at 6.25 x 4.75. I used the leftover flags from this page to decorate the front and inside. To this I added golf ball buttons from my stash.
The flag with the hole cutout is from EDPD cut at 2.29.
Make a Wish is from Sweet Treats cut at 1.24

Valentiney cards

Yea! It's Friday. Hope everyone is feeling well. I am slowly getting my February stuff done. Family birthdays, classmate birthday parties , Valentines Day and it goes on and on.
Well these 2 little cards have a story behind them.
Two of my grandsons, 8 and 11, are getting these Hello Kitty cards. I know that sounds nuts but there is a reason. You see at Christmas I spent weeks asking them what they would like from us. Like most kids nowadays, they have everything. They kept telling me they didn't know. I don't know why but Hello Kitty was very big in our area this Christmas. You could get everything in Hello Kitty. My Walmart still has a pink HK microwave available.
Anyway I told them since they couldn't give me any ideas, I would just outfit them with HK everything. I wanted to decorate a present with HK but I just didn't have the time.
So I thought Valentines would be a great HK card day.
Here they are. I used HK Greetings and cut the card feature with the heart at 3". The rest is just punches and stamps.

I think I really hate alarm clocks. Mine goes off at 3:45 am . Ugh! Oh, well, it is what it is. Now onto today's card.
Our brother-in-law had an outpatient procedure the other day.They decided to keep him overnight because he had a drain. He came home the next day in a not too comfortable state. Hopefully the comfort factor gets better fast.
Here is his card.

I used B is for Boy for the bandaid and owie cut at 1.71. The ambulance inside is from Everyday Paper Dolls cut 1.82. Speedy recovery is from Everyday Popups cut at 1.12. The Get Well Soon is from Phrases cartridge cut at 2.53. I hope he likes it.

Cold Sunday morning

Hi. I hope everyone is having a great day. It's cold here (for this area, anyway) but clear and beautiful. I've had ny coffee and toast and I am enjoying my time on the computer. I even got 2 cards made yesterday.
The one I am posting today is for a 6 year old little girl. My grandson went to a birthday party for a classmate yesterday. It was a bowling party and he loves those. He actually scored a 91. Of course they had the gutter barriers up. Too bad they didn't have those when I was a teenager, I might have scored more than a 40. haha
Anyway, I have trouble buying for kids I don't personally know. Kids nowadays have everything and their stuff is so expensive. I especially have trouble with girls' gifts.
My daughter-in-law said she just gives a gift card when she doesn't know the child, so my problem solved. Who doesn't go to Walmart, right? So now I have an easy solution for the future.
Of course then I had another problem. I mean you can't give a babified card, can you? So I was glad I hadn't thrown away the invitation. It waas zebra print and hot pink. Yea, another crisis averted.
Here's the card with the gift card.
The tag on the front is from Once Upon a Princess cut at 2.25
The "make a wish" on the inside is from Phrases and cut at 2.41
The crown with the "J" is from Once Upon a Princess and cut at 2.18
Happy Birthday and From is stash stamps add a little inking and a rectangle to hold the gift card and call it a day.

I have a home decor project for you today. This was so much fun. I have a Valentine tree. Now the story of the tree.
I used to buy lots of decorations the day after Christmas but I quit doing that several years ago. I would only buy wrapping paper for the next year. Well, this year I didn't even go to a store for about a week after Christmas. I know, unbelievable, right? Anyway I was killing time in Walmart waiting for an appointment and I decided to see what was left in the decoration department. There was a ton of these little trees and they were 50% off which made them $4.50. So I thought, why not? There wasn't a pink one so I got white and bought hot pink little decorations for it.
I was pretty happy with my find. But when I checked out they weren't half off...they were 75% off. So this cute little tree cost me $2.11 and the decorations were $.87 a card. So the next day I decided to go to another Walmart to try to find a pink tree. There was 1 left. It was hot pink so I bought white and silver decorations for it, same great prices. Yippee (Did I mention the trees are lighted?)
That's how I got my trees, decorations and mini tree skirts all for less than $15.00.
For this Valentine tree I used the white one because I wanted to use a lot of hot pink to decorate with.
Now for the project.
The rosette topper is from Ribbons & Rosettes and has a diameter of 5.5 " .It is wrapped with a gold and white crochet thread.The heart and love is cut from Victorian Romance, heart cut at 3.5 and love cut at 2.1
The winged cricut heads is from Cricut Decals (on the E2) and cut at 2" and layered in green and pink.
The heart with the swirls is from Home Decor, cut at 3.24. The circle with the M is cut at 2.58. I also used pink rhinestones and lots of diamond stickles. The little pinwheels, I can't remember where I got the cut.
Now I know the circles don't scream Valentines, but I saw hot pink M & M's on a commercial and knew they were going on my tree.I know it isn't logical, but what can I say? It's just me.

Well, I think this my last "have to" card this month. This one is for another niece.
I used Paper Lace for the happy birthday and the shadow cut. They were both cut at 4.41. I cut an extra shadow at 4.76 to hi-lite the happy birthday cut.
I used Home Decor for the cupcake and the cherry cut at 3.12. I cut it 2 times so the icing and the wrapper could be different papers. I cut the cherry 2 times to layer a red cherry on a brown stem. I used red glitter, a MS butterfly punch and a stamp from my stash for the sentiment.
Hope she likes it.

Hope you are all getting a nice start to your week. The weather changes haven't been so great for my knee and hand problems. That's why it's not quite a "yea, Monday."But hey, we make the best of things, don't we? (that's what crafters do, isn't it?) I have a birthday card for you today. I have 2 nieces with birthdays this week. So here's todays.
This niece loves purple so I always try to use it.
I used Damask Decor for this one. I cut damask 25 card feature and layers at 3.94.The layer 1 cut is on the inside cut at 4.06. The envelope for damask 25 is cut at 4.41.
Happy Birthday is from Stamping cut at 1.71 and has lots of purple glitter.The sentiment is from my stash and MS corner punch on the sentiment page.

It was so nice not to hear an alarm clock this morning.How about you? Did you get to wake up nicely? Hope you're having a great day. I just designed my last "have-to" card for January. Now I'm waiting on Gypsy to charge.
So I thought this would be a good time for a post. I wish my life were more exciting so I would have some interesting posts. Actually I wish I could record all the amazing things that come out of my grandson's mouth. As some of you know he is six and understands a lot more than you'd think. He is always making us laugh. He really has our numbers. Sometimes I think he understands us better than we do. But I digress onto the card.
This is for a very special aunt who lives in Florida.
I used Damask Decor and cut the Teapot card feature with layers and envelope at 4.06. I decorated the teapot with some punched flowers and bling.
The inside of the card of the card has punched flowers, MS branch punch and bling. The sentiment is a stamp from my stash and MS corner punch.

Well, I haven't made a new card. Yesterday was spent in the Dr.s office.So I thought I would post some of the stuff I cut out for my nieces, little girls, birthday party.
I used Birthday Bash for the scalloped banner cuts. The large 3D Eiffel tower is from Summer in Paris cut at 8". The poodles are from Once Upon a Princess cut at 4" and 8".
She is fixing candy "bars", one for grownups and one for babies. There will be a Happy Birthday banner and one with pictures from every month of this first year.I guess this weekend she will decide what else she needs.
There is also a crown from Summer in Paris. The crown and 3D tower are for the cake. She already has a lot of decorations and the invitations, I'm just doing some extras for her.

Hi, everyone. I thought I'd post some of my first Your Story album. It may not have a lot of embellishment but you can get one done in an evening. It really is a help to actually get something finished.
I ordered my Your Story from cricut rewards. I also ordered several album kits. I used the school kit to scrap some of last year, Pre-K.
I won't bore you with every page, just a few. I did personalize his cover. He loves it. He grabbed it when I was finished and keeps it in his room.
I used DCWV Playtime stack for the cover. The little inchworm is from Creat a Critter. Most of the extras on the inside pages are stickers from the kit and my stash.
It's not a great piece of work...remember, a 6 year old loves it. lol

Or maybe not so happy. Anyone else having trouble getting it together after a 3-day weekend. It's so hard after the holidays, to start getting up and ready early again. You my hubby has vacation time during the holidays. So no alarm clocks for work or school for more than 2 weeks. Then we go back to work and school for a week and a half ...and there's a 3-day weekend. My brain is perpetually fuzzy. Ugh!
So today we're trying to get in the groove...again!
Well since my last post I have been busy. Today I will be posting a birthday card I made for my Aunt whose birthday was yesterday. I would have posted it sooner but I've had another project going on.
My nieces baby girl will be 1 next month. The theme of her party will be Paris chic in black and pinks. You know Eiffel towers, pink poodles, crowns, banners and bling. Guess who's doing all the cutting and helping her design...Me! It really is fun. As some of you know I had all boys and this niece was "my" girl. My sister let me have a little girl fun.lol So now I get to have some more through her daughter. I'll post some of her decorations later.
Now onto my card. This is for a special aunt. She really appreciates homemade cards.
I chose red, black and white for the color palate.
I used Elegant Edges for the album shape on the front cut at 4.41. Lacy Labels for the labels cut at 3.12 and 3.71. Bloom for the rectangle cut at 3.71. The flower on the inside is a nestability die and the leaves are a punch. I used a MS corner punch on the sentiment page. The stamps are from my stash and lots of red and black bling. I think she'll like it.

It was so nice to wake up this morning without an alarm. That just doesn't happen enough. Hope you're all having a good day. I have a card for you today. Last night I put together my first Your Story album. You can't add too many embellies, but I guess that's why you can do one in an evening. I just have to decorate the cover.
OK, back to the card. My BFF, who lives across the street) had a birthday on the 11th. This is her card.
I used DCWV Black Currant papers for this one.
The rosette is from Ribbons and Rosettes, p. 50, cut at 5.02 X 2.5. I used the medallion on p. 63 cut at 2.52.
Happy Birthday is from Gypsy Wanderings cut at 2.88.
The snowflakes are punches.
I hand-delivered it because it was so thick. She loved it.

OK, now it's Friday. I'm still moving things around . I hope I will be able to find things when I need them. There are so many things I haven't used in years simply because I didn't know where they were or forgot about them. I guess this is a never ending quest of a crafter. Can't help it if I'm messy and forgetful.lol
This card is for my BIL. He just had neck surgery,which went fine as far as the neck goes.The problem is everything else that went wrong. He ended up coming home with a pacemaker and high blood pressure. A week after he was home, he started having chest pains and was rushed back to Houston. He has a big blood clot in his lung. So they put him on coumadin for 6 months and sent him home. That is supposed to take care of the clot in time. Coumadin is no picnic trying to get it regulated. Like most of the men in my family he isn't the best patient.
So with lots of love and prayers he is improving. Thus, the card.
The tree is from Pooh and Friends cut at 3.71, turtle is from Noah's ABC Animals cut at 1.35, grass is from EDPD cut at .88, MS branch punch and clouds from Create a Critter, "better" is welded from Plantin Schoolbook and cut at 1.39. The labels are nesties and the sentiment is computer generated.

It's Thursday

Yes, it's Thursday and I have a card to post. YEA!!! I'm still going through my craft room and throwing out and hoping I remember where I put my supplies. Do you ever do that...put things in the perfect place and when you need it you can't remember where that perfect place is? That's the story of my life. Oh well back to business.
This card is for my wonderful SIL. Her b-day was on the 9th. I had to call her and wish her a happy day and let her know I hadn't made her card yet. She understood, as long as she gets one.haha
This card has only 1 cricut cut on it. The cupcake is from Celebrations cut at 2.65 and layered. The flower is from my stash and the labels are nesties, labels 4. The paper is DVWV and I used the MS branch punch. I added a little bling and some ribbon from my stash and "voila"...a card is born.

I hope she likes it. I actually made 2 other cards that day, YEA me.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm trying to get my house back in order. My son went back to Florida yesterday after a 2 week visit. We so enjoyed it.
He actually got my hubby to do something I've been wanting done for years. Our grandson got a new XBOX 360 Kinect for Christmas. Thank goodness my son knows how to set these things up. The problem was, the parts that need to be read to set up the games was so small on the 27" TV we could barely read it.
My son said, "Dad he really needs a bigger screen to play these games." This also meant we had to get rid of the home made shelving unit that held the TV and various books and toys. This made me very happy as I hated the thing and wanted to get rid of a lot of stuff. So the day after Christmas they went out and bought a 42" flat screen and media center to hold up the TV and with shelves for the Wii, XBOX, DVD player and all the games .
He has lots of toys and I have to remove them when my son comes to make room for the blow-up bed. It's not as bad as it sounds. It is a queen size about 3 feet off the floor and it's made so that it can't tilt when you turn over. It's very comfortable.
Anyway we started going through his toys and he wanted to give a lot of them to Goodwill. I bought these 2 carts from Walmart with 3 big drawers and we started filling them up. This morning we finished going through the big rubbermaid bins I put in the garage with toys. There was 3 of them. He gave away so much, things he really hasn't played with in a couple of years. So now it is all easy for him to get to and it is neat. He loves it and I do too.

Now I have to tackle my craft room. That won't be so easy. I actually hope to craft a little too. I haven't been able to for about 3 weeks. I'm having withdrawals!

A new beginning

Hello everyone. I hope all is well with you. Tomorrow my grandson goes back to school so things will be a little closer to normal. My oldest son is here until the 7th and my hubby is on vacation until next Monday. Hopefully I will be able to create again soon.
This post is about my darling DIL. She LOVES Rick Springfield. For those of you who don't know who he is...he was an actor/singer during the 80's. He was a real heartthrob. One of his hits was Jessie's Girl.
Well, we have a couple of venues in our area that books concerts and gets some pretty big acts. (The Judd's, Cher, Willie Nelson to name a few)
On Dec. 9th Rick Springfield was here and she got to go. She got to go backstage and meet him. My son bought her a signed guitar from him. She has been "giddy" ever since.
So when she had the pictures printed up, she was playing around with some borders. Thus was born this Christmas card,

We've had a great time kidding her about her "crush".

Niece's birthday

Good morning, everyone. Today is one of my niece's birthday. With all the boys in our family we really appreciate our nieces. On my side of the family our nieces are the only ones to have a girl. So getting to buy pink was a real pleasure. This particular niece grew up around me so I got to have a pseudo girl. So different when you have all boys. Now she is married and has 2 beautiful kids of her own.
Anyway, this is her card.
I finally found DCWV Black Currant at JoAnns. I knew this was what I wanted for her card. Here's the recipe:

This was my first time to use this yarn. A few weeks ago I won a set of My Craft Spot stamps on Bobby and Jill's blog ,Cricut Couple. These 2 are known for the their inspiration and generosity. After I received the stamps (which I love) they sent me pieces of this fantastic yarn. This stuff is so cool. I twisted 2 colors together. (fuchsia and silver) It really makes "happy" cards. Really brightened my day. I just love it. You should check out their blog.

I have been so busy, like everyone else. I gave myself permission not to worry about cards this year. (just too much pressure and it hasn't been a great year, lots of extra stress) But there are a few that need to be remembered. We've had lots of deaths in the family this year and I seem to have lost my mojo. (temporarily I hope. This is a simple card, not quite my usual style but I hope it works.
I used Gingerbread cartridge for the sleigh cut at 2.65". The label is a nestie and the snowflake is a MS punch.The greeting on the front is a Studio G stamp and the inside sentiment is from My Craft Spot stamp set. I won this stamp set from Cricut Couple and My craft Spot. Thank you both!
I hope to get out of this stupor I've been in ans start creating again.

Has everyone gotten through with their shopping? I got the bulk of mine done by Dec. 1st...then I stalled. I got a little more done this week.
This one page layout took 3 weeks to finish. I think I', finally happy with it. I don't remember where the cuts came from or the sizes. The paper is K&C double-sided paper. I fell in love with the whole stack. I used a lot of stickles. (which I love)

Hi, all. (If there is anyone left to talk to) It's been a really stressful time, personally and emotionally. I haven't made the first Christmas card. I can't seem to focus. We sold my mom's house (one big headache gone). It also makes things so final. Moms gone, Dads gone and our childhood home is no longer ours. Dad died on 2004 but mom died last February. I don't think I'll make any cards. My heart just isn't in it. I just keep obsessing about not having made any yet. I think I'll give myself permission to let it go this year and get on with other projects.
I did make a graduation card for our niece. It's very simple but I did finish it.
I used Happy Graduation for this one. The "you did it" owl was cut at 1.94" and the Congrats sign was cut at 1.94". I also used some punched flowers and bling.
I hope you all haven't given up on me. Anyone still around to take a look, I thank you very much.
PSST...I have a layout for tomorrow. It only took me 2 weeks to finish it.

Hi everyone. I'm sure your lives are as crazy as mine. I'm even having trouble creating. That's a big problem for me. My crafting is a big stress reducer for me.
I did get this thank you card made for a very sweet man. This is for my husbands, sister's, father-in-law. He lost his wife last year right after Thanksgiving. She was a great baker. My husbands favorite cake that she made was carrot cake. Several times a year she would make him a cake. Well, her husband thought he needed a cake for Thanksgiving and he made one for him. Wasn't that thoughtful?

beHope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Did you blow your checkbooks up on Black Friday? I did not get anything I shopped for. I was looking for things for my grandson.Guess I'll have to pay full price if I can even find it. I did come home and order the County Fair cricut cart from cricut.com. I have wanted this one since it came out in June. So I was real happy about that. Hope you had better luck.
Now to the card. (believe it or not) Last year I met this sweet person on the MB on a RAKs Challenge. We exchanged several messages and I participated on a couple of challenges. Then things got real busy with my mom. Even after she died I didn't have a lot of time for challenges. We exchanged birthdates and I tucked it away wanting to remember to send her a card. Well she must have done the same thing because she sent me a beautiful birthday card in June. (so sweet)
Well, this is November and I remembered to send her one.

Well, Cricut Couple has announced all the winners from their celebration. I haven't created anything. Just can't seem to concentrate. But I did create a 3D pumpkin.
One of the blogs I visited this week had a pumpkin made of rosettes. I can' remember which blog I saw it on. I searched every blog I could think of. But no luck. Then I remembered I went to the link where she first saw the pumpkin. Ijotted it down. I must have written it down wrong because it didn't work.
Finally I typed in the first 2 words of the link, Audrey Pettit. A lot of stuff came up but I clicked on Audrey Pettit webblog and found the October post.
Anyway, I made one and my grandson loves it. Maybe I'll get a good nights sleep and wake up full of ideas. (I can dream, can't I)

Hope you all had a great weekend. We were busy. We had our 8 year old grandsons "Superbowl" championship football game as well as the housewarming.
The housewarming was a great success and the ballgame was "super". They won and were undefeated the whole season. They played at the college stadium in our area. We all felt so special. The whole season was played in practice fields and we sat on lawn chairs. Couldn't see a thing at ground level. So this game was truly fun. I hope to have a layout done soon.
Anyway today's post is to thank a couple of people. A couple of weeks ago there was a blog hop and I won one of the prizes.
I won the stamp set offered on Cricut Couple, Bobby and Jill's blog. It was generously donated by Kim, My Craft Spot. It is a very special Christmas set and I can't wait to use it.
So my next project is a couple of Thank You cards for these special people. Kim's stamps are really wonderful.

Hope everyone has had a nice Friday. I am relaxing. I did get a card made today.
My BIL lost a very close cousin to cancer this week. Sympathy cards are always hard to do, but this one took me less than an hour.
I used a sketch. This sketch is from Mojo Monday and it really helped. So I'm going to enter in their challenge.
Next time I need a sympathy card I just might look for a sketch.

Well, I guess I'm really shocking a lot of you, 4 new projects in 4 days, and posted! I can hardly believe it myself. I really want to thank all of you who continually check out my blog when there is nothing new to see. And when by chance there is something, you are always so nice and encouraging. Ya'll give me a big boost. Now for the project.
I really had fun with this one. It just grew from a simple card, you know, the ideas just keep coming.
This is a gift for my nephew who just bought his first house and moved on his own. He's only 22 and he's like a "babe in the woods" when it comes to the everyday of having your own home. I think it will be a fun learning process. We'll all help.
I think this turned out pretty cute. I used 8 carts but that is no bother with the Gypsy. (I'm so glad I learned to use it) Here's the recipe:

Happy Wednesday everyone! How about this, a new post 3 days in a row. Yippee!!!
This is my second mini album. But... before I get to that I want to tell you about a celebration.
There is this wonderful and inspiring blog, Cricut Couple, that is a husband and wife team. I'm sure most of you are already followers, but if you haven't heard, they reached over 500 followers during the Craft Spot blog hop. Good morning everyone. I bet you can't believe I'm posting 2 days in a row. lol
Well I spent the weekend making 2 mini albums for Christmas presents. If you're wondering why it took so long, I'll tell you. This was my very first minis. I didn't have a particular theme in mind (to me that makes it harder) and it took so long to pick out papers. (I can spend an hour picking paper for one card) Then there is the embellishments.
These albums are made with CDs so there can't be too much or too big of an embellishment. Anyway I finally got finished. I got the inspiration from Amy at Scrappin Mommy who posted a CD mini and tutorial last June. I know I still can't believe I held onto this for so long and was able to find the post.
Today I'm posting the first one. I used 5 cd's and covered them with paper. Then decorate.

It's only a simple thing but it seems more finished to me.

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is starting out well this morning.
I got started on some things I will need for Christmas. YEA!!!
When I first saw the box card design, I knew I wanted this for the gift cards and cash for my kids. It really is an ingenious design.
I first saw the design on Splitcoast Stampers. Peggy from Daily Grace Creations also posted a tutorial.
I only used 1 cricut cut on this project, the initials. They are cut from Tie the Knot and cut at 1.71. The label is a Spellbinders, labet 4 set. Also a couple of MS edge punches and some inking.

Good morning everyone. Hope you all survived Halloween. Today is one of my sons birthday. He probably wishes I'd forget it. No such luck. He doesn't like cake or any desserts so I'm fixing him a pan of homemade mac and cheese.
He also has always liked Mickey Mouse basically forever so I try to put MM somewhere in his cards. This time it's MM-head balloons.

What a happy Thursday! Well, I'm trying. I got up this morning and did everything as usual. After I do my makeup, I get to drink a cup of coffee and read my emails. It's really "me" time. It didn't take to figure out that I can't "reply, forward or compose and send any. I get an error message ...this message was not sent to ... then it lists whoever I was trying to send it to. Doesn't tell me why or what to do about it. So not a very good start first thing in the morning, 5:30 am.

Onto this mornings post. Some of you know we are having Red Ribbon week at our schools and every day is something new. Hippie day, Monday. Tuesday was silly sock day and Wednesday was wear red "drug free" t-shirts. Well, Gabriel enjoyed the first 3 days. He like his hippie accessories and wore silly socks. And he had a new red drug free t-shirt for Wednesday. His hippie pic was earlier this week.

Here's his socks. He wore jeans so they didn't get a lot of attention
Today it's crazy hair/hat day. So trying to give him something no one else would have, I created a "silly" spider for a baseball hat. When he went to bed he loved it. This morning, a whole different attitude. The first thing out of his mouth, "I don't want to wear that silly spider hat."
I sure wasn't going to force him. He was afraid everyone would laugh "at" him.

Here's the hat. So he went to school not participating. The spider stayed home with me. Maybe I'll wear it on Halloween.
He's only in Kindergarten and this school goes to the 3rd grade. I really don't think these kids know what a Hippie" is or the '70s.
We seem to have a group of mothers who dream up these things for kids that really don't care. They cut out so many things in school but they are willing to waste time on these types of things. When I was in jr. high, when there was still jr. high, we had dressup days, 3 or 4 a year, and we were old enough to understand what they were for. This school has something almost every week. The other elementary school in the area doesn't do all this.
Next Wednesday is the fiftieth day of school so were having 50s day. I bet most of these kids have never seen Happy Days. This particular day is to celebrate being halfway to the 100th day of school, for the 100th day celebration. I just don't get it. Since school started we have bought 4 special t-shirts and "spirit sleeves" .
(which I never heard of) Not counting the books, spirit sales(junk sold on game days) and providing the class with snacks once a month. At least 3 times a week there is a request to buy something. We've even had pictures made 2 times so far.I think our PTA is out of control. There are some kids that just can't buy all this stuff. They must sometimes feel left out.
Maybe I'm wrong but it just seems if they are doing all these things in the early grades when they get to be 12 and older it won't be so special. Maybe they're pushing them to grow up just a little too fast.
Sorry to be so long winded Anyone else have these issues? Or any others?

Hi, everyone. No, I don't have a new card. Just a pic of my grandson.
He is in kindergarten and this week is drug free week. Everyday there is something different going on. Today they wore silly socks but Monday was '70's day. Now you can't find anything tie dyed or hippie-like for little boys so we improvised.
At a halloween store they had lots of stuff for adults but not kids. They did have a Quickie hippie kit - blue lens granny glasses, peace sign necklace and headband. I used Groovy Times and cut the peace sign and groovy out of vinyl. I just stuck it on his clothes and it worked.
So here's the quick pic I snapped right before we left for school.

Bet you thought I was a figment of your imagination. Nope, I'm real. Life, creative block and a few other things keep getting in the way. Oh well. I did do a Halloween card. I think I'll give it to my MIL. I made a couple of rosettes out of DCWV Halloween paper, so I had to use them. The large one is on my MIL's card so I'll have to think of something entirely different for the smaller one.
It's actually a very simple recipe... only one cricut cut. I used a paper trimmer, punches, ribbon, bling. stamps and Boo was cut from Mini Monsters at 2.25.

Hello everyone. This is another one of those times when life gets in the way. My MIL is in the hospital and we're all pitching in staying with her. She seems a little better today. We're hoping they remove the drain from her lung soon.So I really haven't had any time for crafting. But I do still have a couple of cards I made for birthdays this month that I can post.
I've also been having posting issues at some of your blogs and Theresa (Scrapper 69) has been trying to help me resolve that. She probably can't believe I'm so computer challenged. haha I really appreciate her efforts. Thank you Theresa!

Hope everyone is havig a relaxing night. I was at the hospital all day with my MIL and family. She is still having tests done.
I want to apologize to some of my visitors for not posting comments on their blogs. For some reason I can't. when I click on "post comment", the comment disappears. I'm still trying.
Now for the card. A couple of weeks ago I won some blog candy from Linda, Ladybug Lair. This is the card I sent to her. This one was made from scraps.
I think the cut on the front is from Damask Decor, the flower on ther inside is from Mother's Day 2010 and the scalloped circles are from Lacy Labels. I think the thanks is from Alphalicious.
It's really simple and I love when I can use leftover cute.

Well, for the last 3 days I have not been able to post a comment. I've tried no less than 10 times. It lets me choose "google acct." but when I click on "post comment" my comment disappears.
Have any of you had this problem? If so, how can I fix it?

My sister, Bead u Senseless, (who makes beautiful jewelry, BTW) was ordering supplies to donate to a silent auction to benefit Bastrop. (Texas wildfire evacuees who lost everything) When she explained to the internet company (individually owned) she was ordering from what was going on, the woman said she would like to donate to the auction, too. How fantastic is that? So of course my sister needed a handmade thank you, enter me.

Well I'm (happily) stuck at home. We're having a brake job done on my car, so I can't leave. I'm going to hate what it costs but I love the fact that I'm homebound.I've made 6 cards since Sunday. So nice to have the time. Hope everyone is having a nice day.
This card is for my nieces little boy who will be 5. He loves bugs and since I just got Dinosaur tracks on clearance at Michaels that's what I used. That cart has some great bugs on it.

Well, did you all stay up? I just couldn't. I went to bed at midnight but I was up at 3:45 am. Couldn't go back to sleep with this awful headache.
FYI - the name of the embossing folder is MaryAnn. I used half of the embossed sheet. So it makes 4 rectangle patterns and there's a space between each so it's easy to cut apart.
OK for todays card . This is a b-day card for one of my nieces. Hers is the first one I'm going to need next month. I used Something to Celebrate for every cut.

Feels like forever since I've posted a card. I did start a b-day card I designed in my Gypsy a few weeks ago last night. Of course I had to change it all up and after 3 hours I put it away for the night. I did finally finish it this morning and I'm pretty happy with it. But that isn't what I'm posting today.

We lost another relative Thursday. This time it's my husbands side of the family. He was truly a favorite uncle and we all loved him. He was such a character he never met a stranger.
This card has only 1 cricut cut, the cross on the inside. It's from the Wedding cart and cut at 4 1/2". The front is embossed with a cuttlebug folder and the sentiment is stamped on a hand cut label and layered. I left the inside blank because I'm not sure what to say. I used a MS punch on the corners inside.
It's really simple but I think it's okay. I really hope this is the last sympathy card I need to make for a while. It's been hard to get my mind on happier cards. but please don't give up on me. I think I'm starting to get some mojo back. (at least I hope so)

Hi, everyone. This is the second day in a row that I have awakened st 3:30 am and not gone back to sleep. I've had breakfast, put on makeup and read my emails and it's only 6:30. It's gonna be a long day.
I'm planning on going to Beaumont to get a few things. I need glue dots and some chalk inks and the only stores around me is Walmart. The only adhesives they carry are Scotch brand now. I don't like their glue dots or their tape runners. So I have to drive 40 minutes for these essentials. Anyway I'll be dead tired again this afternoon.
Now the reason for this post. Haven't cut out and put together anything new but I do have several designs on my Gypsy. A few months ago I saw a "box card" in an email. It was very easy to make and I intended to use it to give gift cards this Christmas. I searched all the stacks everytime I went out for 2-sided Christmas paper. To no avail.
One day last week I was searching for a particular stack and I came across a whole book of 2-sided Christmas paper. YEA!!! I left it out so I wouldn't forget I had it. Last night I thought it would be a good idea to make all the box cards I would need so I wouldn't be doing it last minute. Now I can't find the email with the tutorial.
Does anyone else remember this? It had a belly band to hold it closed. Thanks for any help.

E2 contest

Hi everyone. I've been sort of at a standstill since last Sunday when I finished up the things for my GS B-day party. Too many sympathy cards, too. Just haven't been able to get it together.
During the week I read about PC's E2 contest on HSN on the MB. I thought wow I would like to try that. Couldn't get going. Maybe the planets wouldn't line-up just right. Entries have to be in by 5pm on the 21st.
Finally last night I got an idea. It's not fancy but I think it's cute. Who knows maybe they'll like it. (I could use some validation right about now) Anyway I made the whole thing in a few hours last night. (which is good for me) I will overnite it tomorrow.
After the 26th I will post it. I don't know if you can do it before. I really wanted to keep it. I used all my fav colors. Maybe I'll see it on air. We'll see.

Good morning everyone. I know it's early but I've been up since 4:10 AM. Woke up with a headache. I will be so sleepy about 10:00 this morning. I'm glad I had chance to go through my emails this morning because I will be at the hospital with my MIL who is having a procedure this morning.
Before I get to my post I wated to tell you about my trip to Michaels and Walmart about 30 minutes from my home. As soon as I brought Gabe to school I headed to Beaumont. I got there at 8:30 so I decided to go to Walmart till Michaels opened. I'm so glad I did. TheW about 15 min. from me finally started putting new Lites out but didn't have Recess. (which I really wanted) This W had some new ones and had Recess. It was also priced at $29.00.Yippee I couldn't believe it. The other new ones were priced at $39 so I don't know how that happened. I also got Phrases at M for $29. so It was a good day.

Now for the post. We lost 2 more family members last week. It just keeps coming. Te last of my mom's cousins died last Wed. and the last Aunt on my grandpas side died Thurs. She was 101. Here's the 2 cards I made.
This one was for her cousin, male.The cross is from Designers Calendar cut at 2.75 x 3.98, the dove is from Tie The Knot cut at 2.81 x 2.80 and the label is from Storybook cut at 3.58 x 5.12.

This one is for her aunt.The flower is from Flower Shoppe and is a scrap and I embossed a scrap of paper for the base. I punched the corners of the inside and stamped the sentiments. Did a little inking and that's about it.

Hello. did everyone have a nice weekend? Mine was so busy.We had haircuts, shopping for a concolence gift, a grandson's football game (hot, they won) then a bowling party for 6 year olds. This was Saturday.
Sunday we had Gabe's birthday party. It was just family but he loved it. He said it was the best b-day party ever!He got a good variety of toys that he loved and some money to spend. He also gt a new bike.
This pic is the only one of the cake. I cut out the happy birthday and welded Gabe to it and added glitter.Also the 3D robot from Robot Party and forgot to take a close-up.

This pic shows him blowing out the candles and 2 of his cousins. (also grandsons) The clutter on the table is cheese dip, hot sauce, various chips and tea that the grownups are eating.
I also did a little vinyl project for treats for the kids. Target had these cute dry erase boards and I welded each ones name and cut it out of vinyl. I don't know why but I've been aftaid to try this. Until now all I did was use it for etching. Now I can't wait to do something else. It really was that easy and fun.

Sorry about the glare. Thanks for looking. It seems like I should have more to post my E2 was so busy the last 3 or 4 days. I also made 2 dozen robot treat bags (Robot Party) for his class.

Hello! Hope all is well and no one is in the "line of fire," literally. These Texas wild fires are unbelievable. So much damage. Sending up lots of prayers.
The title. Today is the day after my grandson's 6th burthday. This child was so excited. He really is a big bright spot in our lives. He just seems to lift everyones spirits. Most of the family notices. We are very blessed to have him.
Back to his birthday. He gotto bring special treats for his class to school and we gave him several presents to open yesterday. His party will be Sunday afternoon. Today I will post his card from yesterday. He'll get all new stuff on Sunday.

Hi, everyone. Hope you had a great day. Mine has been very long. But that's not what this post is about.
Some of you know about last week when my MIL was in the hospital, our other niece narrowly escaped what could have been a very tragic accident.
She was driving to classes when an 18-wheeler side-swiped her. That really unnerved us all. She was very shook up but unhurt. Thank God. I think her guardian angel was working overtime. Messed up the driver's side. Anyway I made her a card to fit the occasion.

Happy Labor Day

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. It's 8:00 in the morning and the sun is not shining for the second day in a row. This is a good thing as I am in southeast Texas and any relief from the sun is appreciated. Saturday it even rained most of the day. So nice not to be at 100 everyday. I hope anyone in the northeast is safe and not having to deal with the floods.
Onto the card. We have a niece who has been looking for a job in her field, ultrasound, for a while. Well last month she got a really good one and gets really great benefits. We are so proud of her. I know it seems I'm late making her a card but I did not know about the job until last week when we were all at the hospital with my MIL. (her grandmother)
Anyway I've had these bits and pieces laying around my table and I finally put them together to make this card. I don't have any measurements. I used a MS punch for the butterflies, two different flowers put together with some Sizzix petals from a punch on top of doilies, a piece of embossed paper that I chalked and another MS punch on the inside. It was all scraps that I loved.

Hi, everyone. I bet you thought I'd disappeared. It has been a really tough couple of weeks. We got through the funeral and had a football game at 1:00 on Saturday. It was so hot. We were all sick that night. Sunday we just wanted to recuperate..
We got a phone call that morning that my MIL was being taken to the hospital. She had pneumonia. I spent everyday in the hospital.
Now she's home and I'm trying to catch up.

Monday evening

Hi, everyone. Things are not slowing down at all. We got through the funeral, it was so sad. My cousin is really having a hard time.
Saturday my 8 year old grandson had his first flag football game. He loved it. We would have enjoyed it too if it hadn't been 104 degrees outside. They played from 1 to 2:30 PM and it was awful. We had umbrellas but it didn't make a lot of difference. I think we all got overheated, I was sick all saturday night. So we were really looking forward to Sunday to recuperate.
Sunday we had to put my mother-in-law in the hospital. Thank goodness she is doing better. She really is the worlds greatest MIL. So now to the post. I made a card for her.
Hee's the recipe:
I used Picturesque for all the cuts. Background was cut @ 3.81 x 3.67, flower cut @ 2,66 x 2.27, and leaves cut @ 2.20 x 1.71I used MS punches for the small flowers, butterflies and branch. Add a little bling and stickles and I used the cast off cuts to decorate the sentiment page.

Hi, everyone. I hope your having a great day. If you'\re on the east coast, I hope you are safe and secure. If you're in this drought I hope you are keeping cool. We are definitely in the drought section. It is so HOT!!!
We had a flag football game today and for the next 10 saturdays. (8 & 9 year olds) It sdtarted at 1:00 and ended at 2:30 PM. It was sweltering. The only thing to get me out in this heat is to watch one of my grandsons. I actually made a card this morning and I'm glad I didn't wait until after the game. I don't know that I could think clearly enough.
This card is for a longtime family friend, I even went through high school with her daughter. She fell and broke her neck in May and I just found out about it.She was with her husband at the hospital having some tests done when she fell. She is up and walking around now but she will not be able to turn her head. I thought I would send her a few cards so she will know we are thinking about her. This wll be the first one.

Home Accents - flourish cut @ 3.06 x .65
The card measures 4 1/4 x 3 3/4. I cut one of the flowers green and one of them pink then pieced the flower on the card and glittered it. I also glittered the pink flourish. The stamp on the front is one I've had and the sentiment inside is computer generated. I made this card in less than 50 minutes start to finish. That is fast for me.

Just Monday

Hello. I haven't been crafting lately. Not a block, just couldn't concentrate.
You see my cousin lost her only child, a son, in a motorcycle accident last Wednesday. He was only 29, with a wife and 3 year old little boy. We've just all been numb. This happened in Pennsylvania and they are flying him back to Texas for a funeral Friday.
We are giving crosses to his mom, wife, aunt and grandmother. I volunteered to make the cards.
I'm posting the card because sometimes it is so hard to make these when it is personal. This card is very simple but elegant and not too fussy.
The size is 3 1/2" x 4" and I used a MS punch on the bottom. The cross is from Wedding cart cut at 2.07 x 2.76 and I added the pearls and a simple stamp on the inside.
So maybe the next time you have to make a very hard sympathy card you will remember this simple one and it will help.

It really is morning here, not even 7AM yet. I have a card to post. It seems my sisters have haircut issues too. You see we all love the same hairdresser, Angie. Three of my sisters come from out of town for her to cut their hair. That doesn't always work out. Debbie, one of my jewelry-making sisters, (she has a blog http://beadusenseless.blogspot.com/ and does beautiful work) finally found someone in Houston that gives a great haircut (yippee) but it seems she is seriously ill and may have to close her shop. She enlisted me to make haer a card. So that's what this card is about.

Well I guess it's almost afternoon. Anyway I hope it's a good one. Before I post my card, I just have to know. Do you watch Master Chef? Were you happy with who won. I was so glad Christian wasn't in the finals. Yes my fav won, Jen. Yippee!!! OK if you don't watch this program I apologize for rambling. I just had to get it out.
Now for the card. Our BIL lost an Aunt last week and this called for a handmade card. Not always easy to get in the mood for this type of card. This one is really simple but I think it works.
The card blank is an A2 size. I used a cuttlebug border folder on the front and inside. I also used a MS punch on the top corners of the sentiment inside. The dove is from Beyond Birthdays and is cut @ 1 1/2". I cut 4 of then and layered them. Sprayed the dove with glue and glittered it. Then I repeated the glue and glitter process. The sentiment on the front is a stamp I have.
Thank you so much for looking. I just remembered tomorrow is Hello Thursday...again. I wish they would quit having new releases until they update the cartridge library. At this rate they will never catch up. I love PC but I really like being able to study the handbooks before I decide what I want.

Rockin' hairdresser

Did you ever find someone who could give you the perfect haircut? Well I found her. She cuts my hair like no one else. I used to be a hairdresser so I know a good haircut. There is only one BIG drawback. She isn't available when I can go to her.
She doesn't go into work until after 11:00, most of the time after noon. I need morning appointments. So I haven't had a haircut from her since last November. But I still remember her birthday. (it's the same as one of my grandsons) One day I'll be able to have one of her haircuts again. Someday.

Good morning all you wonderful people! Is the good mood working? It's just so hot! I'll just keep smiling an it will get better. Maybe positive thinking will get rid of my headache. I know every time Gabriel gives me a hug, I feel better. (He's such a sweetie. He gives me hugs and tells me he loves me all day long.) Enough!
Now for the 2-page LO. As I said yesterday, this is the first time I made the pages without the photos. Once I take the pics I may have to take it all apart and start over, who knows. Diamond fold card (thanx - Peggy)

Good morning all. It's been a few days. I haven't posted but I did get a 2 page layout for my grandsons 1st day of school. made. This was my first time to make a LO before I took the pics so I don't know when it will be posted. The first day of school is Aug. 22. But today I have a card, a very easy card, thanks to a great tutorial.
One of my favorite blogs to visit is a mother/daughter team, Peggy and Donna. Their blog is Daily Grace Creations and they both do fabulous work. They also love to share. Today they both had a post. Donna has a very cute purse and matching notecards (which I also want to do)and Peggy's is the diamond fold card. She has a wonderful tutorial to go along with the beautiful card. It looked quick and easy so I had to try. It really was easy but the results are stunning.

"berry" cute!

This is the third time to write this.I made this card for a challenge at September Ninth, sounded like fun? Sure! Had to write it twice because the internet screwed up. (already not a happy camper) So I get it all written up and posted (all went fine) and the URL didn't work. Said no such page. So I went back to the blog and reread the challenge and it was on their FB page.OK, no problem I'll just post it there.
Get to theit FB page and there is no place to "like" the contest or write a comment much less add a photo. You could "like" the posts that were already there but I could find no place for a new one.
This is just the latest in a long string of reasons I HATE FB. I just don't get it. Others have such a good time entering contests and jooining all the Cricut stuff but it doesn't work for me.So I think I will just not go back there. It's too stressful.
So for the third time I will post this card. Turns out it was just an "exercise in futility". You were supposed to use a berry and the word berry in the sentiment.

Question and answer (Mary)

Hi, everyone. I had a very sweet comment from Mary and a question.She wanted to know if I had a template for my computer generated sentiments.
The answer is , I don't. After I type it in, I center it on the paper in the Word tool bar. (or whatever that bar is called) I guess at the sizing for the particular card. Sometimes I can print 2 different sentiments at the same time, but I end up with a lot of scraps. I either make cards with the scraps or to cut small designs. I get to use most of them.
Sorry I didn't have a template or a magic formula for this but it's just trial and error. If I ever find one, I will definitely share.

I'm still waiting for the Lites from 3 months ago to get to Walmart so I can starrt collecting my favs. My favorite new release is Sophie, which doesn't do me a lot of good . I'm not a Circle member. At least I have a chance to get Art Nouveau. I like Art Philosophy, too, but that's exclusive to CTMH. I know I can order it but you can't get a good price when they are exclusive. I sort of designed this one bit by bit.I had a basic idea and then I think I improved on it. I really kind of like this one. It's totally unique and I love when I can design for a specific person.

Block Party - apron and "kiss the cook" cut @ 4.06", oven mitt cut @ 1.47"
Fron My Kitchen - BBQ pit cut @ 2.29", birthday cake cut @ 1.47"
Create a Critter - happy birthday cut @ 1.24"
I used DCWV paper, Guy Stack, MS corner punch, fireworks are a stamp using Versamark ink and Perfect Pearls. The sentiment is my own.

Happy Sunday everyone. I made a birthday card for one of my BIL's whose birthday is August 10th. Hopefully I'll get the other BILs card made tomorrow.
You've seen cards for this particular BIL before. He's the one who has goats, chickens and guineapigs. He and my sister got married in matching black overalls. He can do anything and my sister makes beautiful jewelry. In fact he makes golf and fishing lamps and he sells hem when my sister sells at shows. They've been very successful at their hobbies and have Etsy stores. He also makes wine. Yum! Anyway, back to the card.
He is also a builder/contractor. That is why I used the Handyman cartridge this time Here's the recipe:
Handyman - level and all layers cut @ 1.09"
Celebrations - cupcake with layers cut @ 1.62"
Wrap It Up - candle with layers cut @4.06"
Stamping - Happy Birthday with shadow cut @ 2.06"
I used DCWV paper, the Guy Stack, love it.Added some ribbon, stickles and glossy accents.

Sweet tooth?

Good eevening. Hope you all had a great day. We went shopping for the second day for school supplies. I can't believe all they require for Kindergrten. They were very specific about everything except brand names and where to find them. I think I found all of them. They added up to $70.00. This really blew my mind. Oh well on to business.
July 31st is Cades birthday but he's having a swimming party tomorrow evening. He likes to get money so he can pick what he wants. He'll get that in his card. He doesn't like sweets but he loves Slim Jims . (little sausages) So I made the ice cream cone from Sweet Tooth Boxes and filled it with slim jims.
The icecream cone was cut at 9 1/2". Really went together pretty well.

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today is my DIL's Birthday. We always give her money or a gift card, which is what she wants, but I wanted to do a little extra. So I made the birthday cake box on Sweet Tooth Boxes. I filled it with some of her favorite chocolates.She loves chocolate.

Good afternoon1 Hope everyone has had a wonderful Monday.
One of our favorite nieces on my hubby's side of the family brought my grandson some treats from recent trip to San Antonio.Gabriel is the youngest child around here. The whole family is nuts about him.
She found some great Cars stuff, a soft "Matar" truck, t-shirt and a Cars cup.
The week before their whole family took him to see Cars 3d. He ended up spending the night, going swimming and playing "WII" all evening. They all had a ball. He loves his aunt and uncle and these girls so much.
We had to make a thank you for Allie for thinking of him on her mini vacation.
We used Boys Will Be Boys and I didn't write down the sizes. But it turned out pretty cute, anyway.

Hi, all. Thank you for all your sweet comments and your concern about my dizziness. It is much better and I'm going to the Dr. Tuesday.
I did get a little project made yesterday morning. The new Cricut Blog posts a lot of really cute projects and one of them was a birdcage lantern. It's made like the lanterns we used to make in grade school. Of course, those were made of construction paper and there was no bird hanging in it.
It's really very simple and quick and Gabe loves it hanging from his fan/light in his bedroom. We may have to make some to hang around for Christmas.
I didn't "fancy" his up with butterflies because after all he's a boy.He would probably want Spongebob glued all over his. He insisted his lantern get posted, too. So here it is.

Hello, Saturday!

Hi, all. We have gotten some much-needed rain yesterday and today. YEA! I hope if you're in the drought you get some too. I had big plans for yesterday which included Michaels, JoAnns and Hobby Lobby but we stayed in. It was probably a good thing because I woke up with vertigo. I have never been so dizzy. (my hubby would debate that statement) lol I think it has something to do with my sinuses. This morning when I got up I could walk fine. (it was early) I went back to bed and laid on the opposite side, left side, and when I got up an hour later I couldn't walk. Could not get to the foot of the bed. Laid back down on my right side for a while and it was better when I got up. So this "dizzy broad" has to sit and stand straight and not bend over and I'm great. Sounds easy enough but I didn't realize just how many times I bend over each day.
OK sorry to ramble. I did get a card made. I had to take my time and it took ALL DAY LONG! But I did get it made.

Finally...a card!

Hello, everyone. I want to thank all of my wonderful, loyal followers who check in to see if there is anythng new. This year has not been the greatest. We have managed to get a few new followers in the past couple of months and I want to send a big "thank you" to them. I try to always follow in turn but sometimes I can't tell which is new. If I haven't followed you also, let me know and I will. So to all of my followers I really appreciate you!

Now for the reason for this blog, my card. This card is for a dear family friend whose birthday is the same as one of my grandsons, July 31st. This one is really simple but kinda cute. (I think) Anyway my husband thought so.
All the cuts on the front of the card are from Just Because Cards-sun cut at 1", car and layers cut at 2.76",and "getting there" cut at 2.88. Inside I used Pack Your Bags for the seagull cut at 1.43, Everyday Popups for the beer mug cut at 1.24" and Wall Decor and More for "relax" cut at 1". There's pop dots on the front and the inside, extra layers on the mug and foam and stickles. All was designed on my Gypsy. (which I'm so glad I have)

What day is it?

Good morning! Do you have trouble keeping the days straight? Some weeks are worse than others, some days I can go from ine day t the next all in the same day. I don't know how I do it, just talented I guess. lol
When there's a holiday I really get screwed up. So far today I'm still on Wednesday.
I didn't make a card, but yesterday I made a little figure to put on my magnetic board with the info for my grandsons swimming lessons. He thinks it's so cute and had to be posted. He's supposed to help remind me . I need all the help I can get.
He's from Pack Your Bags and cut at 4". It felt so good to glue some paper together. My poor E2 has been silent for almost 2 weeks. I think I felt her give me a big hug.
I'm also waiting on my order for Flower Shoppe and Sweet Tooth Boxes . I really don't like to order, but I couldn't wait for these to be in the stores.Plus I saved about 9 bucks apiece.Still waiting for the new Lites to be in WalMart.

Hello, all. I still haven't created anything. The carpul tunnel (sp?) is a lot better but we had 20 people here yesterday for a BBQ and my son is in from Florida. Not sure how much crafting I'll get done. I'm really getting antsy and having withdrawals. I didn't even get to make any decorations for the holiday. So I thought I wiould post last years sign.

Just wanted to wish everyone a very happy and safe 4th of July. My son is coming from Florida tomorrow and we are having a BBQ on the 3rd. It should be a very busy week.
I've been having a "drought"(craftwise) just like our weather here in Texas. I have the will to create but I'm having trouble with carpul tunnel in both wrists. I've been wearing braces as much as possible. My grand son is enjoying it, we spend a lot of time playing CandyLand, Chutes and Ladders, Dominoes and Memory. I mean a LOT of time playing. Which is really depressing because he always beats me.
Anyway, have a wonderful weekend and I hope I get a chance to make SOMETHING!!!

Hi, everyone. Are you all glad it's Friday? The estate sale st my moms house started today, tomorrow we have a wedding and yesterday I turned 61. It's been a stressful week.For 2 days I haven't made anything. Today I made a card for no "have to" reason. I still have 2 cards left to make for July. Just can't seem to get them done.
Anyway this one is really simple, only 1 cricut cut. It's an A2 card. I used the flower cut on page 24 of the Floral Embellished cart cut at 3". Thinking of you is a stamp and a MS punch on the inside.Some pearls, rhinestones and stickles.

The little flowers and leaves are from a punch as well as the tiny gold suns. A Peachy Keen face stamp, some rhinestones, stickles and doodling and call it a day! The sentiment is a stamp set I got at Michaels with a coupon. (yea!)
This card is nothing like It started out to be, but I love it. It just evolved as I went along. That usually turns out to be the ones I like best. Hopr you like it too.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Hubby got to play golf and the kids came over later in the afternoon. A pretty relaxing day. But now it's Monday and everything starts all over again.
I've got 2 more July birthday cards to make. I finished my daughter-in-laws card and that's what I'm posting today. I really have to start getting ready for the BBQ on the 4th.
Anyway here's her card. You know, I've been pretty good about writing down my card recipes on scratch paper then entering it in my notebook. Well for this one I can't find anything.
I know I used Damask Decor for the card and Cricut American Alphabet for the "M". I also used a MS Cake cartridge for the Happy Birthday and the Celebrate.I layered everything and added black gems on the front. I thought they went well with the red, white and black color scheme.On the inside I used a MS punch and a couple of red gems.

Well, has everyone seen the new carts? What did you think? I love the phrases one the best I think. I just wish they would put the handbooks in the library. I really need to see the whole cart to know if I NEED it. I love the Creative Memories one too. I just don't like carts to be available only at certain places. Those are always higher and then there is postage. Oh well I can't have everything. I hope all the new Lites will show up in WaLMart stores.Now onto my card.
This card is for the Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Challenge. You were to use Sweet Treats, any cut. I am really enjoying using my Gypsy to design all these. I didn't think I would ever get used to it but the E2 sort of forced the issue. Anyway here's the card.

No, I haven't seen any new carts yet. It was just fun saying it! lol OK today I went to the Walmart closest to me. (I have 5 of them within 30 or 40 min.) Well this one had lite carts on sale,too. Different ones than the one 15 min. away. Some were $15.00 and $20.00. Cupcake Wrappers was one of them for $20. I never bought CW because frankly there are cupcake wrappers on lots of other carts and I don't bake. BUT, it was only $20.00. So ... I am now the proud owner of Cupcake Wrappers. (psst...I may have a problem!)
Now for the real reason for this post. This card is for the Cricut Cardz Challenge - Father's Day card - any cart, any design. Here's the recipe:

Today has been pretty good. I finally bought Picturesque at JoAnn's and when I went to WalMart they had actually marked some of the original Lites, $29.00. I bought Splish Splash. I've always liked it but it wasn't a have-to-have for me. But now I have it. YEA! Love a bargain! Oh well, to the point of this post.
A friend left a bag of fresh tomatoes on our front porch Sunday while we were gone. We didn't know where they were from. Monday he called to let us know he left them. Of course I had to make a thank you card. It also qualifies for the challenge at Bitten by the Bug2, to use a gnome. (Freshly Picked)

Averie's Birthday (July)

Hello. I just created a card, completely, with my G and E2. Hooray! I'm really enjoying this. I always just used DS because it was attached to my E and just didn't bother with G. I mainly used it for storage of carts and "keyword" search because it shows where it is located on the keypad. It's so nice not to have to change cartridges or try to figure all I might need and get them in the jukebox. (jukebox works with the E2 also)
Back to business. I have a niece who's going to be 10 in July. Last night I decided I wanted to make a postage stamp shaped card. So I welded it together on my G and cut it. I decided this would be good for Averie so I started looking around for some cuts. I settled on Birthday Bash, there are so many cute ones. FYI-there is a postage stamp shaped card all ready to cut on this cart. (live and learn)
Here's what I did:
Birthday Bash - Banner with bird, p. 39, cut at 2.41", a little bird told me cut at 2.41", bird with balloon,
p. 23, cut at 2.41" and Its Your Birthday, p. 22, cut at 2.18"
Stand and Salute - fireworks cut at .91"
